Jag blev trevligt bemött vid incheckningen. Hotellet är... inte av högre standard, gammal byggnad och trätrappor som knarrar och en heltäckningsmatta som har hängt med ett tag. Rummet osade av fukt och det var kallt. Sängen bäddades inte trots att städpersonal varit inne och plockat skräp. Det var klart lägre standard än vad jag förväntade mig. Läget är bra, ganska nära tunnelbanan - vilket är bra eftersom man inte vill hänga i det där området runt hotellet.

Väldig central, 2 stationer ifrån centrala London vilket gjorde att man kunde gå. Jag och min pojkvän är väldigt nöjda hur central och enkel det var att gå in till London vare sig man ville gå eller åka tåg. Hotellet var rent och fint, väldig enkel, och det var bättre än förväntat. hotellet ligger 5 minuter från stationen. Whitechapel är inte ett område jag hade viljat hänga på, men för 3 dagar så funkade det bra för oss.

Roligt, annorlunda men en smula obekvämt.
Vet egentligen inte om detta är ett hotell, med tanke på faciliteterna, det var mer som att hyra ett trevligt rum. Ägaren mötte upp och var mycket trevlig vid ankomsten. Han tycker verkligen om sitt hotell. Själva byggnaden är mycket fin, det är välstädat och fräscht. Toppen att slippa en smutsig heltäckningsmatta på rummet, som så ofta är standard när man bor på hotell. Dock kändes det lite märkligt att råka hitta ett gammalt paket råttgift under sängen... Rummen är trevliga med fin inredning. Vi såg inte så mycket av personalen, och hotellet hade ingen utcheckning. Det fungerade bra att fixa egen frukost på rummet, och ägaren bidrog generöst med råd om butiker och restauranger. Vi reste med en 12-åring, som skulle sova i något som kallades för bäddsoffa. Detta visade sig vara en utvikbar och mycket stum fåtölj som var extremt hård och obekväm. Vi är inte så petiga av oss, men detta fungerade mycket dåligt för ett så stort barn. Så det sammantagna intrycket är lite blandat; roligt och annorlunda boende om man inte behöver ett traditionellt hotell - som dock fungerar sämre för barnfamiljer med äldre barn.

Trevligt hotell
Ett mycket bra rum med kyl, frysfack, brödrost, vattenkokare att göra sin egen snack eller frukost. Bekvämt gångavstånd från Whitchapel underground station. En trevlig Pub runt hörnet och på 5-10 min gångavstånd Tesco samt några riktigt bra restauranger.

The man on reception was fantastic, really made an effort and was able to fulfil a small request to change rooms. unfortunately I cannot remember his name however he made us feel incredibly welcome. The room was clean, neat and had everything that was needed although the iron was poor and didn't really work. Apart from that it was a great stay overall and would stay again

Very affordable stay considering it’s close to central. The room in itself was decent, had the amenities I needed. Even had an iron which I used. One downside was it didn’t have an aircon. Also would have like if room was more isolated rather than located so close to main hallway and reception but then the building didn’t have much space. However this didn’t affect my stay. Bed wasn’t the best and the extra bed wasn’t comfortable according to a friend who stayed in for a few hours. Bathroom was clean and neat, but didn’t have bathroom mats provided, as floor would have been wet easily as the shower door needed fixing as it wouldn’t shut properly while you were having a shower. But for the price I paid of £75 at the time, it’s wasn’t that big of a deal, there’s always room for improvement though. Receptionist was very friendly, polite, and very accomodating, 10/10 for the staff.

good accommodation, centrally located
The hotel is located close to the Tube station Whitechapel, the spacious room including private bathroom was clean and contained everything you need. In the event of technical issues (like heating couldn't be turned on) the receptionist was able to solve the problem immediately. The room also have access to the backyard which in summer certainly will be nice to have.

Joke of a place chucked out because we're smokers not smoking in there outside even though burn holes in carpet on arrival and smashed mirror in bedroom to then be told to leave and have to get another hotel last minute still waiting on refund

Dear David, We are sorry for the inconvenience you may have faced although you had to leave earlier and check out as you and your team had come against our house rule by having cannabis which gave a really bad smell on the floor which you were on and throughout the hotel. We had already warned you for the two nights and the third night we couldn't have you stay anymore DUE TO THE VERY BAD SMELL. That is the truth David, the rest of your comment is very surprising as we do not have burn holes and so on in the room. Regards

My first time in this hotel, friendly reception and explanation for the door code etc, I stayed 3 nights and found the microwave, toaster etc very useful for a quick breakfast. I was however disappointed that they had used a single size duvet inside a double duvet cover, fortunately the weather was mild that week otherwise it would have been almost useless to keep warm. The staff did however repair the faulty heating fairly quickly.

Stick with the hotel, not the studio.
Room booked at actual hotel location we were told was having an issue with damp and instead offered a studio a 6/7 min walk from the hotel. The receptionist was super friendly and leaks happen so we accepted. Advice would be don’t do this, stick with hotel room and don’t take studio option. Cleanliness was poor, condition of the bathroom was poor and comfort of the sofa bed was terrible. The studio is located above a chicken shop and the smells aren’t great. Located on a main road (opposite Blind Beggar pub) and was very noisy - luckily we had ear plugs. Great staff member, poor cleanliness and condition of room.

Sadly I couldn’t recommend. I’ve lived in London for 10 years previously but even I felt like this was in a really shady and unsafe area. Place felt run down, I had no pillowcases on my pillows, no hand towel in the bathroom and a single duvet in a double cover on a double bed. Wouldn’t return personally but also wouldn’t fault service as he did quickly provide pillowcases

Great value for money,
I stayed with my family here and thought this is only a small hotel. We think it’s one of the best. You get a fridge, microwave, toaster etc in your room. The room was very clean and tidy too. Staff were very polite and friendly especially David . Great value for money and close to underground station for travel around London. I will stay here again.

At 5 pm, we could not check in because there was not a staff member available to check us in. The front door was locked and they did not show up for another half hour. When we were finally shown to our room, it was flooded. We were assigned another room which had no environmental temperature control. When attempting to shower in the morning, there was no water supply to the room, except for the ceiling, which dripped water without stopping. Eventually, the water supply was restored and showering commenced. The water temp continuously fluctuated between cold and scalding with no adjustment of the valve. The only redeeming factor was a good local pub. Maybe try camping instead? Please note that I am not one who normally submits reviews. I do not recommend this place.

The hotel was nice and the staff were helpful. However, the doorbell/door knock does not work or staff were instructed not to answer the door. Otherwise the room was nice and well-equipped. The area around the hotel is awful, a very diverse place that is very disruptive and alarming.

My stay at Vilenza Hotel was amazing. I stay for 5 Nights and again rebook for 1 night. Everything was excellent. I cant praise the staff enough, they are amazing! helpful and friendly. I will definite recommend it and stay again when in London as its closer to the tube and all necessary things.

Room is very small and cold. Our room is in the building towel and linen storage area. This is a small house turned into rooms for stay.

Dear Guest, We are sorry for the inconvenience you may have faced during your stay at Vilenza Hotel, although the double room got nothing to do with the linens we apologies for such inconvenience may accrued for you and if told at the time we would of try our best to change to your preference. The rooms are always warm you just need to adjust the temperature on the radiator as some guest do travel from colder climates which they tend to turn it off. Kind Regards, Vilenza Hotel

Excellent stay in a vibrant part of London.
We had a very pleasant stay at Vilenza Hotel. We were greeted by a very polite and welcoming staff, with Adam as our concierge. We were also offered an upgrade on our room. We recieved several suggestions about what we could spend our time doing in London, and everytime we had a question or request, big og small, Adam and his staff always helped and solved the matter. I have nothing to put back on our stay. There is a short walk to the subway station and the hotel is situated in a very vibrating and cultural part of London. The subwaystation also has several connections which makes it a popular station.

this place is truly worth the value. the location is 5 min walk to the nearest underground. a lot of food options that are cheap. the service was great as we were greeted everyday and any special needs we had they were more than accommodating. i recommend this to anyone looking for an affordable place to stay!

Very welcoming staff, we had a quiet and relatively spacious room for London. Excellent value for money and recommended for a short stay in the capital. Close to the tube station. Would certainly stay here again.

Die Unterkunft liegt strategisch sehr günstig und Metro in wenigen Minuten erreichbar. Das junge Personal ist sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit. Alles sehr sauber, mit typischem Altbaucharme.

Super staff, subpar comfort.
Service was amazing. Front desk personnel was so accommodating and helpful. They let me choose my own room from their available selection and even allowed me to switch mid-stay. The hotel itself is dated and badly needs a refresh. Most of the furniture feels quite old and/or cheap and in many cases is falling apart. The bed was quite short and not very comfortable. The bedding was quite dirty and the sheets quite rough. This hotel has a lot of potential, but I wouldn't call it a comfortable stay.

That cannot be true as we get regular linen delivery with the best laundry service and cotton in a one in a million a linen can have a small mark and such scenario do not occur our housekeepers may of miss otherwise even though it is clean we thrive is perfection for our guest always present clean linens.
