Fantastic Villa
Really lovely villa, 3 luxurious bedroom suites and lovely open plan living, dining and kitchen area. Kitchen has everything you need (great to have tea, coffee, oils, herbs, spices, dishwasher tablets and washing liquid, cling film, foil etc all provided). Air conditioning throughout worked well. Outside there is a beautiful veranda, out doors kitchen, log BBQ, dining area and pool. We had the pool heated (extra charge) and it was just perfect. Easy walk down to bars, restaurants and shops on Estrada Monumental and about 35 minutes into Funchal, coming back is quick in taxi and not expensive.

Sehr schönes großzügiges Haus mit allem was man für einen Aufenthalt benötigt. Wir haben eine Woche mit sechs Erwachsenen Personen hier verbracht, es war wunderschön.

10 wonderful days in Madeira
Great house, modern style as in the pictures, clean & lot of space. The kitchen is very well equipped. Pool and terrace are well maintanined - there is wood for the outdoor grill with a complete outdoor kitchen. The location is 8min by car from Funchal, a big supermarket is also 7min by car from the house. It is a quite neighborhood with a very nice view on the ocean. The owner is very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the stay very much - we can highly recommend to book the house.

Sehr komfortables Haus für 6 Personen
Das Haus ist sehr großzügig geschnitten und aufgrund der perfekten Aufteilung mit drei Schlafzimmern und drei Ensuite Bädern perfekt für 6 Personen geeignet. Es gibt einen großzügigen Wohn-Essbereich und eine hervorragend ausgestattete Küche mit Induktionsherd. Draußen gibt es genügend Liegen und auch vier gemütliche Sitzgelegenheiten sowie einen großen, Grill und genügend Holz für tolle Barbequeabende. Die Kommunikation mit Joana war angenehm und die wöchentliche Zwischenreinigung mit Handtuch- und Wäschewechsel hat uns ebenfalls sehr gut gefallen. Wir haben auch kurz den Besitzer kennengelernt, er war ebenfalls sehr sympatisch. Im Juli/August kann es heiß auf Madeira werden und in den Schlafzimmern wird es dann schnell warm. Eigentlich kein Problem, denn man könnte einfach nachts die Fenster offen lassen und die Räume wären optimal belüftet. Dies ist aber leider nicht möglich, weil man dann von Mücken gestochen wird (wir hatten jeder über 30 Mückenstiche und es gibt keine Mückennetze) und der Nachbarhahn kräht ab 6:00 Uhr morgens laut und unentwegt. Beides (Mücken und Nachbarhahn) haben die Vermieter selbstverständlich nicht zu verantworten. Mit Repellent und Ohrstöpseln haben wir uns gut abgeholfen. Worüber wir uns aber wirklich geärgert haben war die Aussicht. Die Fotos in der Annonce sind sehr geschickt aufgenommen, denn man kann auf keinem der Fotos das große Hotel (mit mindestens 8 Etagen und Rooftop-Pool) sehen, welches unmittelbar mit dutzenden Balkonen in Richtung der Villa im direkten Sichtfeld zum Meer liegt. Es ist einfach unserer Meinung nach nicht in Ordnung, das man diese erhebliche Einschränkung auf den Fotos so darstellt, als wäre die Sicht ungetrübt. Gerade wenn man als Urlauber viel Wert auf Privatsphäre und auf eine freie Sicht legt, sollte man sich dessen bewusst sein.

Perfect Vacation
Everything about our stay at Villa Alvinho was wonderful. Joana and Clementina were easy to work with, the house was exactly as described, and the cleaners did an amazing job tidying half way through. In addition, I’m beyond appreciative of the baby supplies left for me to use that allowed our travel experience to be much easier. I cannot wait to visit Madeira again, and will absolutely try and stay at Villa Alvinho a second time!

A great family vacation.
The property was excellent. It was just as advertised. Our grandchildren loved the pool and the adults loved the views. It is well equipped, clean and comfortable. We found it easy to walk downhill to the shops. It would be a steep walk getting back but there are several taxi ranks in town and that’s how we returned. If we return to Madeira we would happily book it again.

Beautiful Villa
The villa is lovely, bright, spotlessly clean and modern and is extremely well equipped. It has lovely gardens and a nice pool with good garden furniture. It also has some lovely views and it is not too far to walk to some good restaurants and bars. However sadly all of this great stuff is let down by the constant noise from the building work on the adjacent property with constant drilling, banging and other construction noise from 8am every day. It is certainly not the peaceful quiet location advertised!

Magnifique villa excellent séjour
Villa bien équipée, spacieuse, fonctionnelle. Jolie vue sur la mer et Funchal. Bien située. Piscine chauffée avec supplément qui a permis aux enfants d'y passer des heures. Locataires à l'écoute et arrangeants. Attention accès à la maison non adapté aux personnes à mobilité réduite, il faut marcher et c'est très pentu comme sur toute l'île. Construction d'une maison à coté qui a fait un peu de bruit certains jours mais sinon c'est calme. Très bon séjour sur une magnifique île.

Super Haus, super Urlaub.
Das Haus war wie im Internet beschrieben. Hervorragende und moderne Ausstattung, sehr gräumig, sehr schöner Pool und viele, angenehme Sitz- und Liegemöglichkeiten. Insgesamt ein wunderbarer Ort zum Erholen und Entspannen.

Great Villa with heated pool
The villa is very modern and all 3x sleeping rooms and bath rooms are hugh. It was a pleasure to stay there and using the heated pool every day. The location is very good since several restaurants and small shops are only few minutes a walk a way. By arriving, everything was shortly shown to us by a very friendly couple. We can highly recommend the villa and if we go once again to Madeira we will for sure rent it again!

Everything we wished for, with style.
This is an excellent villa. It is well designed, spacious, well equipped and has a great layout that allowed you to eat, sleep, swim and relax with the minimum of fuss. There were only two of us in the villa but even with 6 there would have been plenty of room. The bedrooms were a generous size. It was as per the photographs . The pool was warm and a pleasure to swim in. The kitchen was very well stocked with anything you might think you’d need, and stuff you may not have though of. We didn’t use the bbq but that looked more than adequate. There was a welcome pack and plenty of information in the guidebook. The property is in a residential area with lots of private parking. We had chosen not to hire a car and this did mean plenty of walking into Funchal, and back. Not impossible but for ease of shopping and if you want to explore more widely a car would be useful. It was generally a private and peaceful location, aside from some neighbourhood dogs and a cockerel, the peace made their conversations more noticeable I suppose. Overall we judged the Villa to be comfortable and classy.

First Class Accommodation
This is a beautiful contemporary villa where every detail has been carefully considered. Everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable hassle free stay has been included. We particularly loved the pool, which is possibly the warmest we have ever swum in, and the fabulous views over Funchal bay. Despite not hiring a car, we managed to get around quite easily. The No. 45 bus approx. 200 meters walk behind the villa runs every 20-30 minutes into Funchal, and a taxi back from the Lido area was around 7euros. Also for tours around the island try Madeira-Island Taxis, very reasonable at 60euros for a 4-5 hour private tour. We had wonderful support from Clementina and Rui (the owners) throughout our stay, who were very generous hosts. Highly recommended.

Excellent villa with a great view and lovely pool
We really enjoyed our stay over the New Year week. The Villa is luxurious and had everything we needed. The heated pool was great for the kids. There is a really nice view over the sea and it was a great spot from which to watch the New Year fireworks. It's a short walk downhill to some nice restaurants and pubs and has easy parking. We'd love to go back sometime.
