“Hotellet var mysigt och trevligt. Rummen var väldigt fräscha och rymliga. Den stora besvikelsen var dock att man trodde familjen skulle vara lite mer omhändertagande och berätta om deras vinproduktion vilket inte skedde. Det bästa med stället var ändå poolen, riktigt stor, lugn och fin.”

“Mycket bra! Fantastisk mat! Vi bodde i "tornrummet" dvs sviten och man skall då känna till att dot rummet ligger längst upp för en trappa med ca 15-20 trappsteg! Inget alternativt om man har svårt att gå i trappor.”

The garden is a real joy, mature and well-maintained - the photos do not do it justice - with banks of flowers, the pool set apart, table in different locations and a built-in barbecue. “Borhgetto Calcinaia was the perfect location for my 50th birthday celebration. Ben, the house manager, and Dale were responsive and helpful throughout the reservation process and stay. We enjoyed several days by the pool, had a chef come to the house and prepare dinner, and ventured out to the many small, historic communities nearby.”
