Wonderful stay
Thanks to Benoit for welcoming us to his very unique and beautiful house. The situation in nature with views of the sea was very special. The house has the character and spirit of the place, something not easily found these days. Communication, parking, access and the situation were exactly as described. We booked last minute and Benoit was immediately responsive and able to accommodate us. Highly recommended!

Super schöner Urlaub
Wir hatten ein super schönen Urlaub. Das Haus ist sehr schön und hat eine unschlagbare Lage und Aussicht. Der Gastgeber ist sehr nett und die Schlüsselübergabe etc. war sehr unkompliziert. Bei Fragen kann man sich jederzeit bei ihm melden.

Just the break we needed
My husband and I stayed in this property for 10 days. It was exactly what we were looking for to relax. The train passes very near but it goes so quick that it doesn’t bother, and they don’t run in the evenings. The famous 100 steps was an excellent exercise that we did every other day. The house has all that you need for a holiday. The terrace is very ample and comfortable with all the garden furniture for relaxing, sunbathing, and enjoying your meals outside. The view is simply gorgeous. We went almost every morning very early for a swim in the sea. At that time you have the beach just for yourself. Fantastic! Last but not least, our compliments to the host, he is friendly, helpful and very accommodating. GRACIAS Benoît. We hope to be back in a near future.

We had an amazing week. Benoit was very accommodating and gave us wonderful recommendations. The view from the house is spectacular. The beach below is heavenly. We spent our mornings on the beach relaxing and listening to the waves. The walk up and down to the house was sometimes challenging but so worth it!! I would highly recommend this beautiful house to anyone able to go up and down stairs. I used a backpack for all by items and it worked perfect. Thank you for sharing you home with us and it was a pleasure to meet you.

Another wonderful stay
This is the second time we have stayed at Flanc d'Roche. I was having a milestone birthday and thought this place with such happy memories would be perfect for such an occasion. I was not wrong. Once again we had a wonderful stay, and this time our son who was a toddler at our first stay, really got to enjoy the space and the proximity to the fantastic beach. On more than one occasion we had the entire beach to ourselves; it was heaven. He also loved the walk down through the 'jungle' and across the bridge to get to the house. For children or adults it really is magical. Benôit is incredibly responsive with communications and everything about our stay was smooth and very friendly. We will be back for sure! May I end by saying if you do decide to stay at Flanc d'Roche, and you absolutely should, do make a daily pilgrimage to the boulangerie Ma Premiere in La Turbie. Far and away the best bread and pastries I've had in France. Then bring them home and enjoy them on the terrace with your morning coffee, listening to the birds and watching the sea. I miss it already. Many thanks once again Benôit!

Un coin de paradis
Nous avons visité en famille de 5 (2 adultes et 3 enfants) et avons passé un super séjour. Tout d'abord, Benoît était très accueillant et informatif et nous nous sommes immédiatement sentis calmes. La maison est située dans un endroit magique surplombant la mer depuis son immense terrasse et est accessible à pied par son propre pont privé, unique et très spécial. C'était une courte promenade jusqu'à la plage avec une bonne baignade. À l'intérieur, la maison était très confortable, avait une ambiance chaleureuse et était spacieuse. C'était assez grandiose avec de hauts plafonds et des fenêtres. La maison a tout ce dont vous auriez besoin et une cuisine bien équipée. Eze est un choix fantastique et notre partie préférée de la Côte d'Azur - beaucoup d'intérêt architectural et un accès facile au train pour visiter Monaco, Nice ou l'Italie. Nous reviendrions dans la magnifique propriété de Benoît sans hésiter.

Kurzurlaub über Ostern
Das Haus hat Charakter und ist typisch französisch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Wir haben es sehr genossen, dass keine unmittelbaren Nachbarn da sind. Der Weg zum Haus ist doch recht anstrengend, wenn man mehrmals am Tag das Haus verlässt, ist das etwas mühsam (mit Hund habe ich einige 10.000 Schritte gemacht). Auch für den Weg zum Meer sollte man sehr sportlich sein. Aber für einen Kurzurlaub war es in Ordnung, vor allem die natürliche Umgebung, das schöne Haus und die grosse Terrasse sind Highlights.

Lieber Gast. liebe Frau Simone, wenn Sie schreiben, dass man "sehr sportlich" sein muss, um den Weg von unserem Haus bis zum Meer zu gehen, so hat uns Ihre Wortwahl doch ein wenig irritiert. In einer Welt voller "fake news" möchten wir daher kurz Stellung dazu nehmen: Unser Strandhaus liegt, wie ausführlich beschrieben, auf weniger als 50 Meter vom Meer. Es handelt sich hier um die Vogelperspektive. Wenn man den Weg zu Fuß geht, zunächst über unsere private Brücke die etwa 70 Meter lang ist, danach etwa 110 Meter auf dem Strandweg bis ins Wasser der Côte d´Azur (dieser Weg beinhaltet insgesamt 43 normale Stufen), so sprechen wir von insgesamt 180 Metern. Wir sind nicht besonders sportlich, gehen im Sommer dennoch zweimal am Tag schwimmen. Für Ihren kleinen Hund Leyla mag der Weg selbstverständlich sehr viel länger vorkommen. Wir freuen uns, wenn Sie unser Häuschen am Meer genossen haben und bedanken uns für Ihren Besuch, Ihr Gastgeber

Fabulous private perch on the French Mediterranean
If you’re looking for a place that feels like your personal, private côté du azuré, this is it. The house is comfortable. The terrace is magnificent in size with furniture and places to set up your favorite activity. The view is mesmerizing and unobstructed. There’s nobody obstructing your view or making noise.

Fantastic villa overlooking a beautiful beach!
This beautiful villa is one of the most unique properties we ever stayed at! The location of the property, close to Monaco and Cap Ferrat and Nice, as well as all the lovely villages to visit in between, is perfectly situated and makes it a great home base for at least a week. We would have happily stayed longer! The setting is spectacular with ocean views, in front of Mala Beach so you can hear the waves crashing from the very spacious terrace with comfortable lounge chairs and patio furniture. Situated in a lush green canyon with its own private walking bridge, you are surrounded by nature and the beauty of the Cote D’Azur. We loved the unique placement (about a 6 minute walk from the main road) it felt like we were staying in a park and enjoyed the walk as part of the experience. The house is tastefully appointed with lovely art and furnishings typical of the South of France with comfortable bedding in all 3 bedrooms. The master bedroom en suite with private balconies upstairs is a jewel. The train passing by is really not an issue, as it only runs a few times a day zipping by for 5 seconds. Benoit the owner is a very gracious and welcoming host providing assistance with things to do in the area, tasty restaurant recommendations 👍, taxi & transportation information - very helpful and responsive. We give our whole experience here five stars and highly recommend it. We hope to return sometime! Thank you Benoit for an amazing time with our whole family!

War ein klasse Urlaub man ist nur ein paar Schritte vom relativ privatem Strand entfernt
Romantischer Ort mit toller Terrasse überdacht mit exotischen Pflanzen, witzige Lage in einer Bucht mit ein paar Häusern. Liegt relativ nah an Gleisen zwischen zwei Tunneln daher hört man die Züge nur kurz.

Perfect in every way
Amazing location, easy to get to - yes the walk from the road is a bit steep but doesn’t take long and we pack in separate bags anyway so not a challenge. The house is well laid out with multiple terraces and rooms on different level that allow quiet time, shade, sun - whatever ata by time of day. We picked the property as a base for Monaco Grand Prix but it turned out to be one of the best holidays as well. Benoit is helpful, available and knowledgeable and we were very grateful that he steered us away from using the bus/train to get into Monaco - there really isn’t the traffic congestion. Some of the F1 forums bang on about. And plenty of easy parking. We all like trains - and they’re not noisy so if you do the Google Earth search don’t be put off by the adjacent railway line. The beach has some history which was interesting to me. Not only as a local jetty but during the many wars of the 18th/19th C. Highly recommended and as long as you don’t have a medical condition or disability enjoy the luxury of good exercise as you head back up to the road.

Absolut empfehlenswert, wegen der riesigen Terrasse, des Flairs des Hauses, des bezaubernden Strandes, der unbeschreiblichen Lage- jedoch sollten Sie folgendes beachten: wegen der Alleinlage in den Felsen ist der Rettungsweg sehr schwierig!! ( bei Gehbehinderung oder eingeschränkter Gesundheit, mit eventuellen Vorkommen medizinischer Notfälle nicht empfehlenswert)

Lieber Gast, liebe Frau Doris, unser Ferienhaus ist tatsächlich nur über einen Strandweg (ca. 150 Meter) mit etwa 100 Stufen und über eine kleine private Brücke zu erreichen. Dies wird in der Objektbeschreibung deutlich gemacht. Die Notrufnummer für einen Arzt oder einen Krankenwagen sowie die Adresse der Notfallklinik haben wir Ihnen bei der Hausübergabe zusammen mit unseren Hausregeln kommuniziert. Wir fanden Sie sehr mutig, mit einem dicken Knie und einer Krücke bei uns anzureisen. Es tut uns sehr leid, wenn es im Urlaub zu Unannehmlichkeiten kam. Wir bedanken uns für Ihre Bewertung und wünschen Ihnen alles Gute mit dem Knie.

Ein aussergewöhnlicher, schöner Ort. Alles genau so beschrieben, wie es tatsächlich ist! Nicht beschrieben - aber erwähnenswert - ist natürlich der ausserordentlich freundliche und hilfsbereite Gastgeber! In 2 Minuten (zu Fuss!) ist der unter der Woche wenig frequentierte, malerische Strand in einer kleinen Bucht erreicht. Der Zugang zum Haus ist privat und gesichert. Die riesige Terrasse ergänzt das bestens eingerichtete, saubere und gepflegte Haus bestens. Also: lesen, hinfahren und geniessen!

Genussvolle Tage
Ende August/Anfang September haben wir im Haus der Familie Cornette wundervolle Tage verbracht. Der Empfang war herzlich, das Haus und die Lage ist wunderschön. Dass der Zug direkt am Haus vorbeifährt stimmt. Es stört aber nicht und man kann das Geräusch der kurzen Strecke bevor er wieder im Tunnel verschwindet gut ausblenden. Es war aber gut, dass schon im Vorhinein zu wissen. Ein kleiner Tipp für zukünftige Gäste: Wenn man länger als 1 Woche beim Vermieter eine zusätzliche Reinigung zwischendurch bestellen. Das kostet zwar ein bisschen aber zahlt sich aus. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wunderbares Haus
Ein wunderbares Haus! Ja - es ist ein bißchen abenteuerlich, wenn man den Weg zum Haus zum ersten Mal geht. Und es ist auch wahr, dass die Bahnlinie wirklich sehr direkt am Haus vorbeiführt. Das muss man wissen und dann steht einem wundervollen Urlaub nichts im Weg. Angefangen vom herausragend freundlichen und zuvorkommenden Vermieter. Die Kommunikation mit ihm ist in jeder Hinsicht eine Freude. Dann das Haus selbst, das durch seine besonders schöne Einrichtung sehr deutlich beweist, dass dort die Besitzer-Familie selbst ihre Urlaube über viele Jahre bis jetzt verbringt. Es funktioniert alles und Sie verbringen Ihren Aufenthalt in einem Haus, das Sie definitiv als einzigartig bezeichnen können. Und dann: eine sensationelle Lage. Wenige Stufen zum Strand, den Sie von der Terrasse aus sehen. Wir haben in der ersten September-Woche um 8 Uhr morgens den Strand fast immer allein für uns gehabt!! Monaco erreichen Sie mit dem Bus für 1:50€ in 15 Minuten. Alles so schön, dass man am liebsten sofort wieder dorthin zurückkehren will.

A great villa in an amazing location!
We (family of 4 with kids 12 & 13) had a fantastic stay at Flanc de Roche. The house has great views over the sea and the small, quiet pebble beach can be reached in a couple of minutes. It is a bit of a walk from the car park to the villa so not really suited to those who aren't fully mobile, but this inconvenience is well worth the views and excellent access to the beach. Benoit was an excellent host and gave lots of local information and advice when we checked in. The house itself is well furnished and maintained as a family holiday home giving it a personal feel. Overall a great stay and one that has provided many happy memories.

The perfect place!
We had a wonderful stay at Flanc de Roche. The location and the unit were the perfect accommodation for our family of four- with two teenagers. Location was great allowing us to visit from Cannes on the west side to a few quaint scenic small towns in Italy across the border (not to be missed). Privacy in Paradise
We stayed as two couples at Benoit’s villa in Eze. Be prepared for adventure as the short hike down to the property with its private gate and bridge is well worth the effort. More fun once you have stowed your luggage. Note - not possible for those with a physical challenge, over 100 steps. However elderly guests that are fit will enjoy the trek to the villa. The grounds are manicured and the view of the sea spectacular. Another 3 minutes past the villa and you are down to the beach. We visited the beach three times and had it to ourselves for morning coffee. It was a bit to cold to swim in April. There is lots to explore in the area including Monaco, and the exotic gardens also nearby were a highlight, The house itself is older and comfortable. All the equipment for preparing meals, coffee maker and filters, towels, toilet paper, is provided. There is a TV with limited channels, however we ended up not watching anything as the view of the Mediterranean drew us outside to a spacious patio with comfortable lawn furniture - a real highlight. Orange and lemon trees as well as palm, yucca and prickly pear and more are all nicely displayed on the property. The owner Benoit could not have been more accommodating. He responded to all inquiries in advance of our 6 night stay in a timely and informative manner. He was there to greet us and send us off as well. Benoit is cheerful and a pleasure to deal with. Note - he has a separate apartment below the rental and spends some time there. This will not impact your visit either with noise or privacy issues. Simply put, Benoit is there if you need him....send a text and he will respond. There are trains that regularly runs beside the property. Being from Canada we found the electric trains to be quiet and short in duration when passing. No issue at all. Enjoy the villa and the many attractions to explore in the area. We would highly recommend this property and will return in the future. Thanks Benoit. Alec

Super Lage!!!
Die Strandnähe der Unterkunft ist einfach einzigartig,zumal der Strand noch ursprünglich ist und sich deshalb zu anderen Stränden an der Cote d´Azur unterscheidet.Die weitläufige Terasse des Hause ist wunderbar zum Relaxen und mit herrlichem Meerblick. Das Haus ist mit allem Nötigem ausgestattet. Auch für Ausflüge zwischen Monaco und Nizza ist die Unterkunft bestens gelegen. Unser Urlaub war wunderbar durch diese Unterkunft

Schöner Familienurlaub mit Hund
Genauso hatten wir unseren Urlaub vorgestellt: Versteckt im Tal mit einem kurzen Weg zum Strand (wir konnten vom Haus sogar die Wellen hören) fühlten wir uns richtig wohl. Das Ferienhaus ist gut ausgestattet und jeder hat hier seinen Rückzugsort finden können. Wie waren jeden Tag mehrmals schwimmen. Abends haben wir es uns auf der schönen Terrasse gemütlich gemacht. Auch für unseren Hund war das Haus und das umliegende Grundstück ideal.

Très bon séjour
Très bon séjour. Location atypique de par sa situation isolée, un privilège qui se mérite par un accès uniquement piétonnier. La maison est plus proche de la jolie plage que du parking (impératif de le réserver en sus en période de haute saison). La qualité de l'eau de cette crique est remarquable par sa transparence et sa douceur (sources à même la plage). Cette petite plage est une merveille dont nous avons profité pleinement. Monsieur Cornette est à proximité et disponible si nécessaire. A noter transports publics (bus) très pratique.

I was there with my wife and two boys (5 and 8). The beach is reached in less than two minutes and is really nice and quiet and the water is very clear. Much clearer than the surrounding beaches thanks to a creek that ends up as a waterfal on the beach. Also a acts as a nice cold shower to rinse of the salt! There are smooth pebbles; going from tennisball size at the left side of the beach (watershoes recommended) to really tiny sized at the furher right part (no watershoes needed). There are several rock formations to take a dive into the sea. From several hights as well. I loved it! The railway below is really close; I was a bit shocked when I first saw it, but the trains just glide by and didn’t bother me at all! We met the owner Benoit Cornette and he is a really helpfull and a very, very kind person. Speaks all the languages (even Dutch; we’re from Amsterdam!) and told lots of interesting things about the lovely house and its surroundings. The walk from the public road to the house is a bit of a challenge with all the luggage, but it’s all worth it. Just see it as a free exercise! My boys loved the small private bridge which spans the small lush green valley to the house. We LOVED the house, the beach and we will certainly visit it again! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!

Ein traumhaftes Haus in traumhafter Lage... wir haben uns vom ersten Moment an wohlgefühlt. Benoît ist ein toller Vermieter, man hatte schon im Vorfeld alle notwendigen Infos zum Haus und Tips für die Umgebung. Es war genau so, wie wir uns vorgestellt hatten, Ruhe und Entspannung und das Meer vor der Tür. Wir fahren da bestimmt wieder hin.

Lovely and charming villa just above the beach.
Beautiful summer house away from the usual tourism and just a few steps from the beach. No cars, no motorbikes, just a train that passes from time to time. We had a designated car parking space (important in summer!). This property is clean and very well-maintained. The owners very friendly and helpful. We spent our week relaxing, reading and swimming. The only thing we didn't like is that we had to leave!

Malgré la voie de chemin de fer,la villa est au calme et la vue est belle.Le chemin d accès à la maison est singulier mais cela met en forme.la maison est bien équipée,propre.Le propriétaire est super accueillant.

Sehr gepflegtes Haus, sehr gut ausgestattet, leider sehr schlecht zu erreichen.
Das Haus ist sehr gut ausgestattet und die Einrichtung ist in sehr gutem Zustand. Alles war sehr sauber, die Betten waren alle perfekt in Ordnung und frisch bezogen. Ein hübsch uns sehr persönlich eingerichtetes Haus mit ausreichend Schränken, Kleiderstangen, Bügeln und Platz um alle mitgebrachten Sachen perfekt zu verstauen. Der Vermieter war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Zur Erreichbarkeit muss man allerdings doch etwas deutlicher den nicht ganz einfachen Weg zum Haus „erklären". In der Beschreibung des Hauses wird angekündigt, dass der Zugang zum Haus über Treppenstufen erfolgt, dieser ist allerdings für unsere Begriffe wirklich mehr als beschwerlich. Neben den beschriebenen Treppenstufen, führt der Weg über einen nur teilweise (steilen) unbefestigten Weg mitten durch ein völlig zugewachsenes Tal, so dass man Koffer und Taschen wirklich die ganze Zeit tragen muss.Schließlich muss das Gepäck dann noch über eine relativ enge Brücke bugsiert werden. Die Straße mit dem Parkplatz lieg ca. 60 Höhenmeter vom Haus entfernt. Für Gäste mit Kindern oder ältere Personen eigentlich unmöglich. Die viel befahrene Küstenstraße muss man überqueren um ans Auto zu gelangen, ein teilweise gefährliches Unterfangen, da der Beginn des Weges zum Haus direkt in der Kurve liegt und die Straße von dort aus kaum einsehbar ist. An Regentagen wird der Weg zum Haus extrem glitschig und schmutzig, zudem ist er nachts unbeleuchtet. Die Bahnlinie, die direkt vor der Terrasse und vor dem Meer entlangführt, hat uns nicht wirklich gestört da sie nicht sehr stark befahren ist. Die Hauptterrasse des Hauses ist wirklich schön mit tollem Meerblick und ebenfalls perfekt ausgestattet mit Sonnenschirm, Liegen und Terassenmöbeln, von den umliegenden Häusern aber sehr gut einsehbar, da alle etwas höher gelegen sind und direkt auf das Haus schauen. Erwähnenswert finden wir noch die "Bio-Toilette“. Da das Haus, wie die umliegenden Häuser auch, nicht an die örtliche Kanalisation angeschlossen ist, sollte das Toilettenpapier nicht in die Toilette geworfen werden sondern getrennt gesammelt und über die Mülltonne an der Straße entsorgt werden. Wir fanden das schon leicht irritierend, da das Abwasser demzufolge irgendwie ins Meer läuft, der Geruch ist aber teilweise extrem streng. Die kleine Bucht unterhalb des Hauses ist ein öffentlicher Strand und schnell zu erreichen, der bei unserem Aufenthalt im April schon relativ intensiv benutzt wurde, von Gästen der umliegenden Häusern und Tou

Sehr geehrte Frau G. vielen Dank für Ihre Bewertung. Obwohl Sie uns viel Positives mitgeteilt haben, hatten Sie Anlass zu Kritik. Wir bedauern, dass Sie nicht zufrieden waren. Zuerst möchten wir Sie darauf aufmerksam machen, dass wir über das Vermieterportal sowie zusätzlich per Mail allen Gästen ausführlich, korrekt und detailliert, sowohl über unser Haus an sich, als auch über die direkte Umgebung informieren. Somit hatten wir Sie zur Erreichbarkeit des Anwesens, bzw. zum Zugang über den öffentlichen Strandweg korrekt in Kenntnis gesetzt. Der von Ihnen bemängelte Fußweg wird von der hier verantwortlichen öffentlichen Ortsverwaltung in regelmäßigen Abständen gepflegt. Daher kann hier von einem steilen, unbefestigten und völlig zugewachsenen Tal aus unserer Sicht nicht die Rede sein. Es liegt in der Natur der Sache, dass Talgrundstücke von höher gelegenen Anwesen teilweise einsichtbar sein können. Alle unsere Nachbarn (5 Sommerresidenzen die selten bewohnt sind) haben einen Abstand von mindestens 100 Meter zu unserem Haus. Eine Privatsphäre ist somit sicherlich gewährleistet. Siehe u.a. auch unseren Ihnen zugesandten Google-Link. Vielleicht haben Sie übersehen, dass der öffentliche Parkplatz mit einem Zebrastreifen zu unserer Straßenseite, bzw. zum Eingang des Strandwegs gesichert ist. Weiterhin vermittelt Ihre Kritik den Eindruck, dass die Abwässer unseres Sommerhauses ungefiltert direkt ins Meer fließen. Unsere Villa ist selbstverständlich mit einer in Frankreich üblichen Bio-Abwasseranlage (Klärgrube) ausgestattet, die den Anforderungen des Unweltschutzes entspricht. Falls es hier aus Ihrer Sicht zu einem "strengen Geruch" gekommen sein sollte, so können wir uns an dieser Stelle für die Unannehmlichkeit nur entschuldigen. Auch die Tatsache, dass Sie in der Vorsaison nicht das beste Wetter hatten, tut uns leid. Zum Zeitpunkt Ihrer Anreise und in den Folgetagen waren wir persönlich anwesend. Wir bedauern, dass Sie hier Ihre Unzufriedenheit nicht direkt zur Sprache gebracht haben. B.C.

Wonderful Setting
This is a really nicely renovated house with a great aspect and view. The location was a perfect balance between seclusion amongst the trees with the distant sound of waves crashing and yet still within close proximity to Monaco and Nice. We were able to have a great relaxing time at the house and really enjoyed staying in a place that allowed us to feel at home but within the Riviera.
