On May 4th, 2024, I made a reservation through Expedia for a room at the Lelux Hotel in Montréal, Quebec. The reservation, which I made with the expectation of a clean and comfortable stay, quickly turned into a nightmare due to severe issues with cleanliness and pest infestation.
Upon arrival at the hotel, it was evident that the depiction of the property on Lelux Hotel's website did not match the reality. Despite claims of cleanliness and modern facilities, the entire premises were overrun with cockroaches. This unsanitary condition not only violated basic standards of hygiene but also posed a significant health risk to guests.
I was assigned room 504. Upon entering the room and placing my belongings, I immediately noticed cockroaches crawling over my personal items. Shockingly, these pests were not confined to a single area; they were present in the bathtub, on the walls, and even on the desk. The attached photos provide visual evidence of the appalling conditions I encountered.
Seeking a resolution, I approached the front desk to request a refund and expressed my desire to vacate the premises. To my dismay, the staff refused to provide a refund and instead offered to change my room. This gesture was futile as they reassigned me to a room with only one bed, contrary to my original booking for a room with two beds.
