One night stay - super happy with it!
We stayed here one night as we were heading for the boat Island Hopping the following day. Free air-shuttle (from the airport to the hotel). Friendly and polite receptionists, check-in took a while but all good. There's an ATM, convenience store and tourist desk right in the reception so there's everything one could need, very convenient and practical. Room was spacious, clean and very nice. Bathroom good too. Air-con worked well. WiFi only in the reception, worked so-so, otherwise paid. Pool was really great, the restaurant/chill area by the beach as well. We dined at the restaurant - happy with our meals and drinks. Staff were friendly too :) Watched the sunset - fantastic! We didn't have breakfast included in the room charge but took pancakes in the morning before leaving - delicious! All in all, this place was indeed much better than anticipated, we could definitely come back again :)

Dåligt bemötande och slitna rum
Rummen är slitna och skulle behöva fräschas upp. Vi fick bruna, luddiga handdukar som inte var trevliga av torka sig med. Vår AC slutade fungera, och vi fick förvisso flytta till ett nytt rum, men som saknade handdukar och tvål. En gång när vi kom tillbaka till rummet var vår dörr upplåst, när vi påpekade detta i receptionen brydde de sig inte. Det tog lång tid att få mat i restaurangen. Personalens bemötande gjorde inte att vi kände oss välkomna. Det enda positiva var läget vid stranden. Magiska solnedgångar!

Sämst! Magsjuka!
Vi landade en natt i Nadi för innan vi skulle flyga vidare, poolen gick inte att använda för de byggde om och hade en byggställning i själva poolen, vi båda två blev magsjuka och ligger fortfarande dåliga av det. Det var det endast där vi åt den dagen så helt omöjligt att det var något annat vi blev dåliga av. Rummet var halvtråkig och det låg gamla använda linser på golvet och hårfönen var sönder. Receptionen försökte blåsa oss på taxi pengar. Att kalla det resort är ett skämt, det är det verkligen inte!

Splendid service, best food in the area
I experienced the best service here. The food at Smugglers is without doubt the best in the area, hence the slightly pricier menu. The travel agency offers great service too. The room, a 4bed bunk one, was not too clean but compared to the other hostels in the area like Bamboo and Tropic, then Smugglers is cleanest. But they should i prove their cleaning.

Vi checkade inte ens in!
Byggarbetsplats, byggskräp på balkongen med egen "ingång" för byggare via byggställningen. Bygger nytt hotell vägg i vägg som är större än Smugglers Cove. Arbete 8-5 beskrivs inte på hemsidan mer än längst i enkla ordalag. Trist inget rum inga pengar tillbaka!

Decent property right on Wailoaloa Beach. Just make sure that the hotel has your booking dates correct. Expect to wait about an hour after your flight arrives (if early in the morning) for the airport transfer van, and keep an eye out for it as the driver will not come out or have a sign with your name.

....We reached the hotel at 1.00pm, the reception said normal check-in time is 2pm. We came back at 3pm they said the room not ready will take half an hour..we waited and finally got check in at 4pm..which was very frustrating as we drove all the way from Suva. ..Sunset sweet was good the beds were comfortable but in the hall and kitchen area there were cockroaches ..parking facility very very poor as only 2 slots and if thats full then we park outside which is not safe

Liked the location and the property as a whole. My stay was good except the pillows had stain on it as well as the comforter. Good thing I didn’t need the comforter as it was humid but the pillow covers need to be changed/ washed regularly. The toilet paper is a deal breaker as it is of a very cheap quality and is very sharp, shows no mercy. I stayed for 3 nights but didn’t even finish a roll so it should be a good quality. Overall I enjoyed my stay very much.

Was great stay for the money, would return! I got my own room, it was very clean and staff were always very friendly! Just wish the area was a bit more walkable but there are lots of other hotels you can visit and they have dining options as well. Also a walkable grocery store

We had an overnight stay in a private room. Was a good hotel standard and we were really pleased with the quality as we had been moving around basic accomidation for a week prior. Atmosphere is a nice blend of hotel and hostel with it being busy but not too lively. Food was slitly expensive compared to what we were expecting and took quite a wait to come out. Front desk staff were extremely friendly and helpful.

The staff were without fail kind and helpful; I loved them. The room was decently equipped and sparkling clean, and the air conditioning worked well, which was essential in 33 degree heat. The restaurant was better for dinner than for breakfast, not gourmet food but adequate, and decent value, I thought. The hotel is beachfront and there are about eight loungers on the seawall platform above the beach. Plenty of seating in the pool/outdoor restaurant area; enough shade most of the day. The beach and water are clean and the view is nice. It's not the white-sand coral beach you might think of with Fiji, but it's a scenic bay, good for walking when the weather is cool, and good sunset views. There are a few other resort/hotel/BnB facilities along Wailoaloa Beach, but it wasn't crowded when I was there. They have a few sit-on-top kayaks for guest use too. Pool is small but pristine. My only real issue is that the location, while convenient to the airport and right on the beach, isn't convenient to much else. There's a currency exchange where the clerk will try and sell you a massage for "local rate," a truly terrible coffee/food stand across the street, and an okay cafe and convenience store a long block away. To get to snorkel trips and other attractions, or even to the Nadi Town, it's a long taxi or bus ride (no aircon in buses but cheap). Overall a comfortable, welcoming place for budget to mid-range travel. Would stay for in and out of airport, then get out of Nadi!

Smugglers cove itself was really nice, however, the food was quite pricey and not really good. We had scrambled eggs for breakfast and it was soaked in oil, could not taste the flavor of the eggs, egg and bacon roll, again was soaked in oil, club sandwich was soggy, again with oil, fish and chips were tasteless, watermelon juice tasted like water. The staff were very friendly but unfortunately we chose to dine elsewhere for breakfast and dinner, generally had lunch on the run. The room was really nice clean.

Directly at the beach which is very nice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar are nice as well and there are many life music events every week. Moreover, there are a couple of nice restaurants in the proximity giving some additional options.

This hotel is right on the beach, although not one of the best beaches in Fiji but it's still nice close access to a beach. The staff are incredibly warm and welcoming and access to restaurant and convenience store was also a plus. The property itself could use some TLC but the overall stay was still great. Would recommend.

This hotel is a little beat up and could use some TLC but the staff was amazing, very friendly and accommodating. Also the restaurants available were good and there's a convenience store located within walking distance. Overall great stay and would book again!
