Fantastiskt hotell och helt otrolig service. Skulle gärna bo där igen. Liten nackdel är att det inte var något vidare promenad område i närheten. Å andra sidan var det enkelt att få tag på taxi.

Centralt, fräscht och trevligt
Best Western Meridian ligger bra till om du tänkt ta dig runt till fots i Nairobi. Det går också lätt att få tag i en taxi, antingen direkt på gatan utanför eller via hotellets reception. Vi fick ett bra bemötande, personalen är serviceinriktad och talar mycket bra engelska. Vi fick en gratis massage på hotellets spa, som var fräscht och hade proffsig personal. Poolområdet på takterrassen är jättefint och där får man också fin utsikt över staden. Rummen var rena och fina med sköna sängar, rymligt badrum, tv med Netflix och bra utbud på kanaler. Snabbt wi-fi. Stort utbud av mat på frukosten och även god a la carte-meny (speciellt den indiska maten!). Hög säkerhet med vakter och kontroll av fordon som kör in på hotellområdet. Rekommenderar varmt detta hotell!

Convenient pleasant hotel in central Nairobi
Convenient and centrally located. Clean rooms with good standard. Nice that the rooms have air conditioning. The breakfast buffé gives a good combination of european and indian dishes. The staff are attentitive and friendly. The gym on the top floor was well equipped.

Fint hotell, men tveksam restaurang
Rymliga och fina rum som verkade nästan nyrenoverade vid vårt besök. Överlag var servicen på hotellet mycket bra, med trevlig personal. Effektiviteten i köket lämnar dock en del att önska, och resultatet ej heller lysande. Frukosten var dock helt ok, där det gick att få omelett, pannkakor och liknande på beställning.

Pros: - Good location if you want to stay in central Nairobi - Good WIFI - Very friendly and helpful staff. Especially the travel desk who helped me to arrange a driver - Very good security - Even if I arrived 7 am, it was no problem checking in early. Cons: - Small room with only average standard. - After check-in, maintenance staff entered my room 3 times thinking it was not occupied. This was very annoying (especially since they did it more than once). Not nice after arriving after a long flight trying to get some sleep. - The value for the amount paid is questionable

It is an excellent location if you are interested in the locals as I do. The staff are poorly trained. They give preferential customer service to foreigners than to black people: ESSENTIALLY THE CONTINUITY OF THE COLONIAL MENTALITY. The air conditioner and the bed in the room that I stayed in were very in deplorable condition. The room was always hot, and the mattress on the bed was so bad that I could not even describe how it felt lying down on it.

Be aware that they will charge you $28 for transportation from the airport to the hotel after telling you on the phone that it is free. The rooms are expensive and dirty. The staff needs training for better customer service skills. And they made me wait 5 hours to give me my room. And the food is expensive and horrible.
