Potitives: Everything at Sarova woodlands is excellent, the service, attention to guests, the Breakfast Buffet had varieties and i especially treasured the healthy kenyan cuisine of veges, arrowroots, sweetpotatoes etc. Everyday there was new food items! Negatives: The fact that the health club incl the gym and the Spa were/are still unavailable.The information about this should, in my opinion be on the FRONT pages given the fact that it is a spa Hotel and not on the last pages where i found out later, after i had already booked for a week. That really bothered me, as i workout every day and i would have loved a spa day! (b)There is 24 hours housekeeping, the downside is that they ( sometimes) drag and pull furniture that woke me up several times during the night. Otherwise an excellent hotel with comfort, security, excellent service, very friendly staff and great food! Thank you Sarova woodlands Nakuru!

This is a lovely hotel with beautiful gardens. The room is smartly designed, comfortable, and clean. Though I had a bit of issue with wifi but was resolved soon.

overall my experience was great I felt very comfortable with safety and security staff were nice food was very good room was great overall but for one thing it was an on going issue so it really hurt my experience... I live in the North East United States.. my trip was in July which is normally the coolest month in Kenya... over nights 50 daytime 70 so for me that would be perfect!!! however my rooms A/C was never able to cool the room the two nights I stayed... It was 78 degrees in my room.. for the locals that's cold.. but for me that's hot!! after having staff come to the room and check the A/C only to be told it's working.. totally ruined things. I like to sleep at night but not in a hot! room... so I'm not sure how great this place would be the rest of the year when it's hot in Kenya... I asked for a fan but that was not an option.. I would suggest to the hotel to have a few fans for guests it would have made a world of difference..

This is a beautiful hotel. However, their administration is horrible and I would never stay there again. After checking out the front desk personnel came chasing after me insinuating that I left without paying for incidentals. This is despite my having my American Express card on file for incidentals. In addition, despite paying for breakfast to be included I was charged for breakfast. Finally, after going back into the hotel and settling up with them, they contacted my sister in law over breakfast which was 1800 shillings which is was included in the room fee. This hotel chain should be avoided at all costs since they operate like a third world motel.

Nice luxorious hotel. Large rooms with soft beds and modern bathrooms. Hotel is good wheelchair accessible with a adapted room and staff is friendly and helpfull. Atmosphere of the hotel is great and good location 20 minutes from lake nakuru. Food was a bit disappointing for us for these prices you expect the best but dinner was not. Burger was great and home made, the steak however was chewy and gross. Luckily I could change to a pizza wich was oke but nothing special could be better for sure. Desserts were almost all not available.. Staff friendly again. Breakfast was better with enough choices and good quality.

Ok value for money. The room that I was in looked a bit dated. But overall it was a pleasant stay. Disappointing that the hotel was not flexible in providing a late check out. Dont think it was that full. Food options were pretty decent.

This is one of the finest hotels in the world! I’ve stayed at some of the best hotels in America, Europe and the Caribbean, but none can compare to the Sarova Woodlands Hotel! The staff is superb - kind, caring, and very attentive! The friendly front desk staff goes above and beyond to ensure that the needs of the hotel guests are met! The facility is clean and sparking! It is very well maintained! The restaurant serves a variety of tasty dishes from African and Indian cuisines! Excellent service in the restaurant too! Very good place
Hotel is good in almost all aspects. Staff are 99% friendly and professional. Although I think the numbers of staff may be too low right now and it led to a couple of short but needless waits for service. Hotel is in great condition, impressive communal areas. Comfortable courtyard to sit and relax. Food isn't cheap, but it is great quality. Breakfast buffet is weird, with the layout meaning you have to find a staff member to serve basic items and because they have obviously reduced staff, probably due to economic damage of the pandemic, this can effect the experience and I presume they have done this so they can restrict how much people eat at the buffet. It's weird. Rooms are very comfortable, spacious and clean. Location is fine, just a little way out of town, not far from the national park. Nakuru town itself is a little sketchy, especially at night, we had a bad experience, so take care. Sarova Woodlands is overall an excellent hotel, despite the odd minor negative point.

Home Away From Home
Sarova Woodlands Hotel is home away from home. I noticed that the team in the restaurant need training on how to position the cutlery. Breakfast Is Served Put the plate at the center of the individual table setting, with the napkin and fork on the left and the other silverware on the right. To the upper left of the plate is the juice glass, while the cup and saucer go on the upper right.

Relaxing Stay at End of 2-week Trip
We stayed for 3 nights in a junior suite before flying back to USA. Pros: very friendly staff, great location, new facility, spacious room/suite, and delicious pastries; convenient to Lake Nakuru Park, and other sites. Cons: nothing important, just a little confusion about the specific suite we booked (valley views as described at Hotels.com) vs the one we ended up staying (courtyard view, as Sarova staff insisted there is no junior suite with the views of the valley); I'm not sure why such a discrepancy.

Good stay.
The stay was good. Booked into a standard room with a king bed. The air conditioning unit did not work but alert for that the room was good. Music from restaurant was noticeable until about 22h00 but not unpleasant. The hotel itself as well as the staff all great. The breakfast and dinner were buffet and were great with a great selection. There is a bar.

The rooms were very clean and comfortable as was the reception and main areas. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Finding the hotel was a little difficult, maybe a large sign on the highway is needed. I would definitely recommend this hotel

A very comfortable hotel
The rooms are very nice and spotlessly clean. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The food a la carte excellent, the buffet good but not special, soups are the best and a fresh squeezed juice in the morning.

Sarova Woodlands overlooks the little things
I stayed for two nights with three friends. Two twin rooms were booked. Single beds only - at least expected King Singles at Sarova. No additional items like toothpaste and brush, slippers, etc. Rooms are small. The wait staff in the dining room were excellent. The restaurant manager, sorry to say, very unaccommodating. I would have expected that within the Sarova training, that the management's first and foremost priority is to ensure guests are happily satisfied, to fix any problem so that guests go away thinking good things of the Sarova brand. Your male restaurant manager needs retraining and could learn from his female waiters who were superb. Would I stay at the Woodlands Sarova again? Probably not. Please don't promote the spa when it is not even open. The Sarova brand is slightly tarnished and needs some serious attention when competing with the likes of the Serena and Fairmont brands in Kenya. It's the little things that count when ensuring guests enjoy their stay at Sarova, and this time around you left me disappointed. I left for the Lake Elementeita Serena and thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, so much so, I will return.
