“The staff at the hotel need a charm education. We never received a "hello" or a welcoming smile from any of the staff, either it was the front desk staff, lady in red, the doormen, the cleaning staff or the security staff. They either tried to avoid eye contact or simply didn't bother. We never felt at home at the hotel, as a so called 5 star hotel suppose to make you feel (or any other hotel for that matter). Will never stay at this hotel again. ”

“+The room was big and nice + Breakfast and dinner at the Lebanese restaurant was perfect! -The service at the reception is poor. The manager was rude. -the pool was so crowded. “I arrived to the airport around 01:40am. Ease to get to the accommodation. Location on maps a bit off, but I received good help from staff at Duroy Hotel nearby. The Nightmanager at Universal Residence could not find my booking but found a room for me. That was around 02:20am. I checked out at 09:00am where the issue had been solved in the meantime. The accommodation could do with some maintenance, but the bed was fine and room nicely furnished. ”

"Hamra Urban Gardens Beirut (room 408) +Smoke-free room. +Location, near everything, restaurants, cafés, grocery store. +Free and good Wi-Fi, air-condtion, refrigerator, kettle, safe box, TV. +Gym and bar. +Swimming pool (closed during winter time), couldn't see how it was, so no pictures from me. +Friendly and helpfull staff. -No water bottles in the room. +/- Didn't get to chance to try their food/breakfast as I had to leave early, but I did try the "cake" they have in the store next to the entrance. It's a nice place but the traffic around the area is chaos during the day if you go by car/taxi."
