Bilder stämmer inte överrens med hur hotellet ser ut, så vi förväntade oss ett finare hotell. Stort rum för att vara NY. Informationen om frukosten var missvisande. Det stod på hotellinfon att det var ägg, frukt osv. men det var vanlig continental frukost med yoghurt, bär och dåligt bröd/sötsaker. Bra läge.

Nice clean hotel, Good service and great location. Breakfast Esther small though considering the resort fee, which itself is kind of nuts by a regular hotel.

Great hotel but dissapointed that they added 60USD per night on the bill for services one would expect is included in the price. Would at least have expected to get this info upfront and not after checking the bill at check out.

Det är ett bra hotell, med bra läge och bra rum. Dessvärre inga morgonrockar, bomullstussar eller tops i badrumet. Frukosten stänger redan kl.09 vilket inte är sovmorgon-vänligt.

Ett väldigt bra hotell med fantastiskt trevlig personal. Det enda minuset var frukosten som var riktigt dålig och tråkig och brummandet från ac:n i rummet.

Air conditioning made an extremely loud noise when it turned on/off waking me up in the middle of the night. Not what I would expect for a $450 a night property. Also they added a suprise "resort fee" of $50 on to the stay. What exactly are the "resort" amenities that I am paying for??

They charge for internet access after the first day even though you are paying a resort fee. $25 food credit at attached restaurant is for dine in only so pretty much useless. They used to have in room breakfast but that is now gone

Without question the "salon" was the perfect size. Floor to ceiling windows were amazing. We had the corner room and saw all 4 streets merge together. It was great. Also, the kitchenette was nice so that we could keep drinks cold and didn't have to bring something in every day. The leather couch was super comfortable. Having room(s) allowed someone to sleep while everyone else could watch tv, eat, etc. Umbrella's were a nice touch. We are definitely coming back and referring our friends to stay. Cognac was a wonderful restaurant. Food and service were wonderful!

Not what it once was but still very good
Pre-COVID, Hotel Lex48 was one of my favorite boutique hotels. The rooms were new and fresh, the mini bar was fantastic with a nice selection of wines to choose from and the continental breakfast in the 2nd floor lounge was complimentary. This is my first time back post-COVID restrictions and although the rooms are fine, the little touches that one takes for granted are missed now that they are not there. The lack on mini bar being the most obvious example. Sure there is a Nespresso machine which I love but the wine and spirits collection has been replaced with a microwave and although there is a mini dishwasher, as with so many hotels, there are no glasses or plates to speak of. Another example of a nice touch that is no longer is the room decor in general. There used to be a coffee table in front of the couch and the end table had some well thought out decorative pieces on it. Now it’s just a scratched black metal end table that would look more suitable at a garage sale. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The on site restaurant has finally re-opened as Brasserie Cognac, which does serve a nice breakfast at a reasonable price for NYC at $20 The bed is very comfortable and the bathroom is well-equipped with cotton balls, q-tips and a shower cap as well as a robe for each guest.
No coffee table and no real decor.

So. The $50 “resort fee”. On their website it says “each guest is ensured…daily light contemporary breakfast provided in the lobby” - lie. There’s a sit down breakfast in their restaurant that they charge $25 per person for and they only give you a $25 credit per day so if there are two of you one guest is paying for breakfast “Evening wine and cheese” - this was provided however the space isn’t clean. The same toothpicks were on a table in the space for 48 hours I was there. “Shoe shine service” - wasn’t given any info about this “Premium WiFi access” - the premium WiFi you have to pay for. The basic WiFi sucks. Regular internet service from your phone is better. When we tried to ask what this fee actually covers because it seemed like we were being charged for nothing but the “complimentary amenities” I was told about at check in the manager was very nasty and told me to deal with it. Especially being someone who’s from nyc to stay in a hotel for a weekend and be charged for a “resort” that doesn’t have a rooftop or pool seems ridiculous.

I had to stay here for a recent business trip, and was surprised at how worn the hotel was in comparison to the reviews and the photos online. It did the job, but was expecting more.

Carpeting and bathroom floor dirty, stain on headboard, damaged wood panel on doors. Room pictured on EXPEDIA is not room that was assigned. We dis not receive the 30/per day credit earned through VIP points.

Comfortable room. Nice lounge on the second floor with complimentary coffee in the am, wine at Happy hour. Good location. Limited amenities, but a lot to do in NYC. Walking distance from GCS and Radio City. There is $50 resort fee.
