Great location and cute hotel with a cozy lobby area. Rooms are, as others reported, tiny but in my experience even smaller than I expected. Beware of the bed sizes, double beds (marketed as "standard") are actually 140cm wide making it impossible for more than one persons to stay in those rooms. We were a couple so had to request an upgrade (which the hotel fixed free of charge). Bathrooms were almost larger than the bed area, although lacking several amenities. Complimentary breakfast was a nice touch, not great but did the job. Given the price point of this hotel, room sizes and general condition I would not recommend it. There are better hotels within close proximity.

Great location. One big question mark is about the complementary breakfast. This is stated as 18 USD and you get a choice of three different dishes plus a juice and hot beverage. When you sign for it on all days of our stay but one the waiter put 18 USD plus the cost of beverages even though all dishes are available at a lower cost a la carte. As this is deducted it might seem as a small concern, but as tips is calculated on the total it is a way from the waiters to trick themselves to a higher tip…

Hotell som vi kan återvända till
Läget var bra, rummet litet men mysigt, personalen var trevliga, frukosten var bra, begränsad urval på vad som ingick men den var god och man blev mätt. Nära till flera olika tunnelbane linjer så man lätt kunde ta sig till de olika sevärdheter. Kommer jag tillbaka till New York så kan jag tänka mig att komma tillbaka. Ett annat stort plus, några meter bort på samma gata låg en härlig massage ställe, All seasons bodywork. Trångt men så underbar med fot massage och helkropps massage efter man har gått runt i flera dagar!

I loved The Marlton as it was walking distance to my family. This is a boutique hotel that was first class all the way albeit small rooms! That's NYC for you! If you are going to go, and you want to be in this area of Manhattan, this place rocks. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was divine and included. I highly recommend it and will be back for my next visit.

The Marleton is a gem with an outstanding provenance. The staff are very attentive and the breakfast is excellent. The rooms are on the small side but none the less comfortable for it. The hotel is so close to Washington Square park and is surrounded by great dining and drinking options. I hope to return in the not too distant future.

After living in NYC for about 16 years, I have been returning for business roughly every month for the past five. Though I had visited The Marlton for drinks and dinner in the past, I had never stayed as a guest. My stay was truly remarkable. The rooms are small but perfectly appointed, with many thoughtful touches and classic, fine finishes. The included breakfast is generous. And the staff is friendly and helpful without being too overwrought. Just the right amount of attention. I look forward to my next stay.

Room is very small, no place to put a large suitcase. TV was not working well. No tissue box. No memo pad and a pen. No hotel guides in the room. Positive side is Nice and clean bedding.

Property is very old including the rooms. The hallways smelled like urine. There was blood stains on our towel. This is at best a 2 star hotel

Lovely boutique hotel with incredible ambiance. Cozy lobby with several intimate seating choices for drinks, snacks conversation. Like old New York in a bubble. Staff is great. So accommodating and respectful. The neighborhood is our favorite in the city. Walkable with infinite dining choices. Complimentary breakfast is imaginative and fresh. Guest rooms are tiny but comfy and beautiful. It’s a perfect weekend stay. Very little storage for the week we were there. Small closet and no place to put clothes outside a suitcase. We were there for a wedding so had to bring a lot of ‘event’ clothes. I do highly recommend this hotel and we will come back and pack light!

Beautifully appointed -feels like you could be in Europe especially in the lobby and dining area. Keep in mind the rooms are a bit small and the whole hotel is like a tight ship. Staff is so professional and kind-must be coming from the top:)

PERFECT! This hotel is so quintessential downtown New York, with a ton of class and character. Let’s you feel like a New Yorker living in a walk-up apartment, even tho they have elevators. Small rooms of course, which only adds to the “I’m living in NYC l!” Vibe. Great bar and restaurant and lobby, incredible breakfast INCLUDED (awesome frittata!). Best part: complimentary NY Times laid out to take in the morning. Now that’s class.
