Från stort minus till fullt plus
En ytterst usel incheckning vidare sig vara ett rent undantag. Perfekt läge, fin miljö, vänlig service och utmärkt frukost - den bästa Continental Breakfast vi fått någonstans. Något litet avdrag för mycket långsamt wi-fi som inte kändes alldeles modernt.

Bra hotell med hög standard och trevlig frukost. Fint läge precis vid Central Park

Bästa läge för museer och shopping
Hotellet ligger fint nära Central Park bland de finaste shoppingstråken. Man kan gå till många museer och restauranger. Hotellet har bra wifi och ett bra gym. Bra restaurant och mysiga uteplatser vid sol. I början av vistelsen var servicen inte så bra men på slutet fungerade allt fint.

Topphotell på bra adress
Mycket fint hotell på mycket bra adress. Ett stenkast från central park. Stora fina rum. Den kostnadsfria wifi på rummet funkar dåligt så man får betala för att få bättre uppkoppling. Trevlig och professionell personal. Fantastisk takterrass med bar och lättare mat.

Det bästa som NY kan erbjuda!!!
Nu har vi bott på detta Hotel ett flertal gånger och det är lite som att komma hem! Personalen är alltid lika välkomnande och tar hand om oss på bästa sätt. Det som gör detta till ett av de bästa hotellen i NY är läget, rummen, personalens omhändertagande samt terassen på taket!!

Perfekt Hotel i NYC
Perfekt service och Hotel. 5/5. Rummen väldigt bekväma. Städningen var jättebra och pålitlig. Bar och restaurang var super trevlig.

Alltid samma höga nivå!
Har bott på The Surrey ett par gånger och jag är alltid lika imponerad. De känner igen en, de går verkligen till otroliga nivåer för att tillfredsställa alla ens behov men det kostar en del att både bo och nyttja den servicen.

Fint rum och riktigt bra badrum. Underbar säng med fantastiskt duntäcke. Fin takterrass, trevlig personal. Maten på hotellet var inte att rekomendera. Trevligt med lite kaffe, te, vatten och frukt när man varit ute i central park på morgonen.

Great boutique hotel on Upper East Side
This was my second stay at The Surrey. The first time I was very happily surprised of the level of service and standard so it felt natural to spend a few nights there when I was in NYC again (spent the first nights at Trump Soho). The difference between my first and second stay was that the first time I came with no expectations while this time the bar was set high due to my great experience during my first stay. It started out with a negative note with me sending them an email a few months prior to my visit with a request that I don't receive any answer to. Also my second email was unanswered but I tried a third and last time and this time they came back to me apologizing, upgrading the room to a higher floor and threw in complimentary wireless internet. After checking in everything was fine though. Impeccable service, personal and welcoming and both the spa and the resturant, Café Boulud, really enriches the stay. On the downside, it was a bit noisy due to construction on the street and it was a shame that the rooftop terrace was still under construction even though it was supposed to be finished during Spring. Room Tip: I prefer the rooms higher up and towards Madinson Ave. See more room tips

Lugnt placerat hotell
Precis som vid första besöket på Surrey, så var jag även denna gång mycket nöjd med min vistelse. Hotellet ligger mycket bra i en lugn del av staden och erbjuder mycket bra service och trevliga rum.

Vid Central Park
Väldigt bra hotell med bra service, vackra rum och schysta detaljer. Det enda är väl att frukost inte ingår och det är väl lite snålt.

Man får vad man betalar för
Mycket bra hotell med bra service, trevlig och väldigt serviceinriktad personal. Takterass med magnifik utsikt. Cafe Boloud i hotellet med stjärna i Guide Micheline serverade mycket bra mat.

Förmodligen det bästa NYC har att erbjuda!
Detta är mitt 14:e Hotel jag testar i NYC! Efter denna vistelse så kommer jag troligtvis inte att testa några andra, för detta har allt du behöver om du vill ha utmärkt service ( du behöver inte ens dra för gardinerna på kvällen,det fixar dem.)samt läget gör sitt till! Saken blir inte sämre av att hotellet fixade vårt bröllop på takterassen med en dags varsel samt bästa bordet på ett fullsatt NOBU och som grädden på moset utmärkta biljetter till The Lion! Så vill ni ha det som är lite bättre så är detta det perfekta hotellet!

Although the hotel is extremely well located and the room sizes are great, it needs love & a good update. Rooms have objects that are "semi-broken" (like a lamp) and water damage (in the ceiling). After the entrance there is a "lounging" area with tables, were bubbles are present from the wall paper. But the worse part is the fact that staff does not care about you. I cannot count the number fo times I had to open the front door and the door to the street (two heavy doors) in the 6 days I was there. The receptionists are always talking to each other and ignore guests passing by. This is such an iconic hotel, how can manage let this happen?

Un accueil toujours agréable, avec un personnel attentionné. L'accès à un café au rdc, chaque matin Je regrette les prix dissuasifs du bar de chambre ainsi que lors du départ, nous devions descendre nos bagages. Un guide détaillé précisant l'étage pour la salle fitness, le rooftop(en période estivale)seraient appréciable. Nous espérons revenir et profiter de la terrasse(en période estivale)qui nous avait laissé un bon souvenir.

A great location for shopping and eating. Not great if your business is mostly on the West Side.

Location is great, value for what you receive as a guest could be better. Our bathroom had a window which is a plus for me personally and our room had excellent view to Madison Ave and the City. Some of the staff were polite and welcoming although this was not universal. At the time of check in, we were sent to a room which was not ready and filled with tobacco smell (it’s a nonsmoking hotel and obviously I don’t blame the hotel management for this), which has happened to me before in different ways, although the issue was addressed with some degree of nonchalance on behalf of the staff which was a little unexpected given the price level of this hotel. On average I stay in various 4 and 5 star hotels in the City twice a month and although incidents like this have happened to me in the past, they were handled much more tactfully.

My only complaint is a matter of personal taste, so not necessarily one that would be shared by other guests. I like a firm mattress, and the mattress in our room was rather soft. My wife in particular did not sleep well for the two nights we stayed for that reason. But again, all a matter of individual taste, and otherwise the hotel was exemplary in every respect.

Very nice hotel with very good and professional staff who go above and beyond to help make your stay a lovely experience. Very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable too. Nice bar with live Jazz to relax and unwind after a long day. Will return Very good and safe location with very high end shops all within walking distance
