Potential men levererade inte
Läget är riktigt läckert. Att inta frukost samtidigt som flodhästar och krokodiler simmar omkring nedanför terassen är häftigt. Men måhända befann sig stället i uppstartsfasen efter covid-nedstängning. Hela stället kändes öde, vår reservation hade hotellet tappat bort vilket gav en lång incheckning, maten på kvällen var ingen höjdare och städningen kan förbättras. Bäst var att bokningen av safarin fungerade så bra.

Bra utgångspunkt för safaris
Bra hotell. Ordnade bra safari. Mycket nära en av ingångarna till Kruger. Ingen surf på rummet men bra surf i receptionen. Mycket nöjd med detta hotell som utgångspunkt för safiresor in i Kruger. Fin utsikt på frukosten över floden med elefanter, flodhästar och krokodiler att titta på.

Pestana
Det är tredje gången vi bor på detta hotell, med utsikt mot crocodile river och det är underbart. Närheten till Krugerparken och servicen som finns där. Rekommenderas!!

Location is the major highlight!
We had booked a room for three adults, but when we arrived it was only prepared for two. The bed sofa was not the most comfy one. Otherwise the room was ok. The service was ok, but when they were several at the disk it got a bit messy, one starting to help you, then another took over, and so on. The big + about this place is the location. Very close to the Kruger Park and the hotel has their own Safari Guiding Tours.

Fantastisk startplats för Kruger National Park
Jag valde Pestana Kruger Lodge för att det ligger extremt nära Krugerparken, bara några hundra meter från en av gaterna. Jag trivdes fantastiskt bra på hotellet och skulle gärna stannat längre, om det inte var för att jag redan bokat annat boende inne i parken för slutet av min vistelse. Vad jag möjligen saknar är att fitnessanläggningen saknades vid min vistelse, samt att det skulle vara fördelaktigt med bättre Wifi, exempelvis på rummet. Hotellet är rent och snyggt och hade all den service jag sökte. Hotellet ordnade safaribokning på extremt kort varsel och hotellmatsalens buffémiddagar kan rekommenderas. Perfekt efter en dag på safari! Jag är mycket nöjd med min vistelse. Jag skulle inte tveka en sekund på att boka Pestana igen för min nästa safari.

Safari är kul, men du vill inte ha djuren i rummet
Läget är bra, personalen väldigt trevlig och hjälpsam men hotellet har passerat bäst före datum och är mycket dåligt underhållet. Rummen är för små för en familj, och bäddsoffan fruktansvärt obekväm. AC fungerade inte trots flera försök från personalen att laga. Huset eller rummet var också invaderat av termiter, och det var mus-spillning i badrummet. På området finns en pool, men som inte sköts och vattnet är smutsigt. Krugerparken är fantastiskt, men kan du välja något annat hotell så gör det.

Told on arrival that there had been a mistake in booking and we were to be accomodated at a grossly inferior hotel 2km away although we had booked months ago. Eventually they found us a room but other friends were not so fortunate. It has become apparent that overbooking is a regular practice here. Beware.

Our stay was excellent. The service & food was great and the staff were very friendly. The unit was really comfortable but could do with minor improvements, the air con was almost non functional in ours. The main reception restrooms needed attention & better lighting. Really enjoyed our stay though & will return again!

The staff were very friendly but lacked organizational skills especially at the bar and restaurant Required to check out and pay the government hotel charges which we were unaware of Generally it was clean and tidy with excellent views from the balcony

Complained about dirty sliding door entrace curtains and air conditioner that was not working. No feedback was given and the items were not adressed. Breakfast is great with freshly baked pastries and wide choices of items to eat Dinner is a buffet we tried it once and never again. They served bone hard pork and little pieces of fish that did not taste great at all! You can order from a set menu but are strongly encouraged to do the buffet, 1stly by their menu pricing and by the waiters.

Excellent location just outside gate of Kruger Malelane gate. Clean detached chalet style room with restaurant overlooking Crocodile river where Elephant, Hippo and other animals could be viewed during dinner

A área da piscina é infestada de formigas por todos os lados, assim como o caminho até os quartos. O frigobar fica vazio, e na propriedade nao é possível encontrar nada para comprar, como sucos, refrigerantes e quaisquer outras bebidas. Somente a agua mineral que você pode comprar no bar do hotel e carregar até o seu quarto.

Great Location
We've stayed here numerous times. It is nothing amazing in terms of service or condition - but it is reasonably priced and close to Kruger. Also serves a good breakfast. This time our safe was broken - we reported it and nothing was done. The batteries on the TV remote were flat (although these were replaced). We didn't get any water or a third towel for the child in our family room on the second day. If you are looking for something a bit nicer than Kruger accommodation at about the same price - this is it. If you are looking for a luxury lodge - this is not it.

Watched hippos 100m away every morning while having breakfast over the most picturesqe river. 100m from national park gate. All the excursions you could need, great spa and great food

Highly recommended
My stay at Pestana Kruger Lodge was excellent in all aspects. The room that i had been allocated was clean and spacious. The staff were friendly, well presented and very helpful with any requests. The buffet breakfast and dinner is a must. The deck overlooking the river is a new personal favorite of mine, could sit there for hours. If you have a good pair of binoculars you can spot lots of wildlife along/in the crocodile river. The location is excellent if you plan on entering the Kruger National Park via the Malelane Gate.
