Really nice, almost 5/5
A beutyful hotel with amazing service and suroundings. We went there on our honeymoon and had a really nice stay. The only thing I can complain on was that the sheets wasnt change, they made the bed with same ones as the night before. A miss for a hotell with this price range. Otherwise I can strongly recommend this hotel.

Fint hotell i bergen
Vi bokade det här hotellet för vår bröllopsresa. Hotellet var romantiskt och läget var perfekt (även om vägen upp till hotellet var ett äventyr i sig...). Vi är mycket nöjda och skulle gärna åka tillbaka. Första natten blev vi uppgraderade till en svit med egen pool (en gåva från hotellet för att vi var på bröllopsresa) :)

Unique property with lovely view from the main reception/dining area. Dinner was good, not great in the casual dining area, not the Michelin rated restaurant which we did not try. Waiter was very friendly. Check in was relaxed and easy. Prosecco was served with a nice view which was nice after a long trip from New York. Other staff was helpful, some friendlier than others but all professional. The room was perhaps the smallest type on property but comfortable. The shower was a bit difficult to get to the right temperature but otherwise ok, not exactly 5 star but everything else was close to if not 5 star. No reason not to return if we make it back to the area but I would probably reserve a deluxe room with a king bed next time. I thought I did but apparently I did not.

Sardinia is a beautiful Island and the resort fits right in, but....Service was so so (spend 16 K for two rooms and stayed 6 nights). Sauna / steam room was out of service, front desk was not as professional as what we are used to. Not once did someone from management check in with us. No trip ideas received, no activity / program at the resort during the entire stay. No signs within the resort, not walkable for elderly people. Restaurant set up is very confusing. We had dinner in one of their restaurants on our first night, all nice and fairly priced. 3 days later we sat down at the exact same table and the menu from 3 days prior was not available that evening. We had to order a tasting menu per person, not what we wanted. Breakfast buffet was the same every day, no juice or omelet bar, very simple, too simple for what they are charging. We paid cash for lunch one day and the server came running after us to sign the bill... we said, why? The very same amount was on our final bill! Our check out was early (6 am) and we only had a chance to speak to the security guard. He was not allowed to change the bill unless we wrote a written explanation of what happened. He said, if he waves the overcharge he might have to end up paying it. We went to Florence afterwards and stayed at a 4 star hotel (Brunelleschi - can only recommend) and the service was the opposite. The stars should have been reversed between the two places, seriously. Not worth 16 K, maybe half at most.

A gem in rural Sardinia.
This is an amazing small resort in a very rural location. A car is essential. The food and service are absolutely fantastic. This was our second visit and we will definitely be going back again.

Fantastic location & hotel but we won’t go back
This 3-night stay was part of a 12-night trip to Sardinia, staying in 4 different hotels. Petra Segreta is one of those “getaway” resorts - the kind of place you imagine when someone uses the phrase “quiet retreat”. It’s located a couple of Km from the nearest town, down a road used by very few others. Out there, it’s all about the remoteness of the location. We chose this place as the 4th of 4 hotels in a 12-night trip for our 30th wedding anniversary & my birthday. It was intended to be the cherry on top. Unfortunately, it was a little bit of a let-down. The facilities were excellent. The rooms (standalone chalet-type 2 & 3 room blocks) were very well appointed with everything you would need & expect. The actual location of the hotel is stunning, if you like being out in the remote wilds (which I do). However, the prices of everything were a real let down. While the Pizza I had there was probably the best I’ve ever had in 30 years of visiting all parts of Italy, it was €22 (as opposed to my usual €10 in Como). A glass of red wine (no particular vintage) was €16. The cheapest bottle was €70. I’m well aware of the prices of 4* and 5* food & drinks so I’m not entirely surprised... but my wife and I were both disappointed. It let down the overall visit badly. My wife also felt that the staff were a little bit ‘pretentious’. This is not uncommon for a 5* place but we probably wouldn’t go back despite the location being among the best I’ve ever stayed at.

Das Hotel mit angeschlossenem Restaurant liegt in den Bergen 2 km entfernt vom Ortszentrum San Pantaleo und ist in einem hervorragenden Zustand. Es verfügt über 25 Zimmer, 10 davon mit einem privaten Pool. Man benötigt ein Auto, um mobil zu sein. Es gibt keine Anbindung an öffentlichen Personennahverkehr. Die Freundlichkeit des Personals ist klasse, die Ausstattung der Suite war sehr gut. Frühstückszeiten und die Qualität des Frühstücks entsprach den Erwartungen. Das angeschlossene Restaurant wird abends auch von auswärtigen Gästen genutzt und man sollte, bei Bedarf, frühzeitig reservieren, da die Kapazität begrenzt ist. Die Qualität des Restaurants ist sehr gut, die Preise bewegen sich auf einem entsprechend hohen aber durchaus gerechtfertigten Niveau. Das Hotelpersonal kümmert sich aber auch um Reservierungen von anderen Restaurants, sofern benötigt. Alles in allem ein 5 Sterne Hotel, welches nicht billig, seinen Preis aber definitiv wert ist.

Unforgettable Resort
The best hotel we have stayed. The location is unbelievable, with nice views. The staff is just great, friendly, always happy to help, suggest good things to do. The food, wine, everything prepared with so much care. Close to San Pantaleo, great place for an aperitivo. Amazing place to go as a couple, quiet, with nice views, and at the same time close to anywhere in Costa Smeralda.

Not sure what to think
I understand that we are just getting out of a very difficult period. That being said this is supposed to be a five star hotel and spa. Only 1 therapist on site. So forget a couples massage or any tratments 2 at a time. Service was just ok and pool area needs a facelift. Food was good .On a positive note,what a perfect relaxing site. The view was incredible. And an even better sunset. Overall good but not five star.

Die Aussicht vom Garten des Hotels ist prima. Abendessen und Frühstück lassen keine Wünsche offen. Wir hatten aber Pech mit dem ersten Zimmer: In normaler Lautstärke geführte Gespräche der Nachbarn waren wörtlich zu verstehen. Da das Problem bekannt sein muss, hätte das Zimmer nicht vergeben werden dürfen oder der Umzug nicht erst bei der zweiten Nachfrage angeboten werden dürfen.

Had an amazing time here
We had a wonderful time at this spectacular hotel. Mauro and his team did great job of helping introduce us to get food and excursions as well as our time at the resort. Well worth the trip! Some of the reviews we read prior seemed a bit overly harsh. It’s a boutique hotel and we are on vacation. If something takes a few minutes extra, just enjoy the view.

Wow! Go! Enjoy!
The hotel is quite remote and the drive to it requires nerves of steel when meeting any Italian driving in the opposite direction but once you arrive - wow! Very peaceful and location is utterly beautiful. We had a basic room but it was still uber tasteful and very clean. Only downside a little tight to get around the four poster bed, pillows a bit soft / flat and the over-head shower could have been a little more powerful - other than that just amazing. Restaurant and views are unbelievable and the little village San Pantaleo is both beautiful and tasteful. Girls market is great for cashmere on a Thursday! Boys take your wallets!!!
