It's a hotel intended to host weddings, it seems. The reception is hidden away somewhere on the 3rd floor. I stayed on the 6th floor, and there was a chapel on the 5th floor. The elevator and hallways smelt like a pub. And the guests spent a bit of time knocking on each other's doors, I guess they were getting ready for the big day.
Strangely for Japan, there are no convenience stores in the neighbourhood. There is a McDonalds and Mister Donuts downstairs, but no convenience stores anywhere within a ten minute walking radius, and despite it being at a main train station for the area.
In any case, it was the very, very last hotel room in Osaka that was available. So I cannot complain.
