Nice !
More of a B&B feeling than hotel. The first look made Me suspicious but When entering everything changed. Large and Nice lobby, friendly and fast staff. Nice breakfast area (dont miss the ceiling). My room was kind of small. AC worked and small refrigirator. Wending machines outside the room. I like this place and I recomend it

Jag och min 15-åriga dotter sov bara 2 nätter på hotellet. Första natten kom vi sent, men dom är flexibla och vänliga, så det gick bra att komma efter kl 22. Vänlig personal och helt ok frukost som serverades i en väldigt vacker matsal. Helt ok sängar och sköna kuddar/täcken. Men det är väldigt lyhört i rummen, rekommenderar att välja ett rum mot gården, inte mot gatan. Första natten sov jag dåligt pga mycket ljud från gatan, andra natten sov vi mot gården och då var det mycket lugnare, dock lyhört från andra rum och korridoren utanför rummet. Vi fick eget badrum som var fräscht och bra, men det låg inte i anslutning till rummet, utan vi behövde gå ut i korridoren först. Hotellet ligger i ett väldigt vackert 500 år gammalt hus, med en väldigt fin innergård. Det har ett riktigt bra läge, väldigt nära central-stationen och även väldigt nära de den stora berömda katedralen, shopping-gator och restauranger. Prisvärt hotell.

Best experience
This is the best hotel I booked in Italy so far. The building is very rustic in a good way. It feels like you are entering the old Palermo. But inside the hotel and my room is fully modern and well renovated. The staffs are accomodating. The lady, maybe the owner, even sent me a message that my room is available already because I came in the morning. The breakfast is also nice.

Really nice hotel which a perfect location.
It was a really nice hotel. It did not look good on the outside but it hade very nice but shabby courtyard. But when you went inside it was newly renovated with really nice modern rooms. The breakfast was not up to Nordic standards but it was okey and you did not go hungry from the table. The staff was pleasant but their English was not that good but we could make us understood. The location was perfect. Close to the train station were we arrived from the airport. The Ballard market only a block away. The street outside was more a pedestrian zone. It was close to restaurants and sights. We can definitely recommend it. You would have thought that it would be more expensive than it was.

Hotellet i sig är helt okej! Ligger bra till, åtminstone på dagen men på kvällen känns detta område väldigt otryggt (vilket blev bekräftat sen när vi läste att Ballaro är ett område som man rekommenderas hålla sig borta från när mörkret kommer. Frukosten var god, inte så näringsrik men om man gillar fikabröd så toppen :)

Bra läge för att upptäcka Palermo & nära stationen
Trevligt mottagande, nära till allt och perfekt när man ska med tidigt tåg till flygplatsen. Rummet var litet men fungerade bra för mina behov. Jättesköna kuddar, kylskåp och bra ac. Tyvärr mötte jag en kackerlacka ute i korridoren när jag skulle checka ut vilket drog ner lite på min entusiasm. Men allt var rent och fräscht och i stort är jag nöjd med min vistelse.

The staff were incredibly friendly, the complimentary breakfast was a lovely touch, and its proximity to major attractions made exploring the city effortless. there were a couple of drawbacks worth mentioning. In the evenings, the surrounding area felt unsafe for walking, particularly when returning from dinner. Additionally, noise levels throughout the day were quite high, which could be disruptive at times.

In a building that was grand in its day but is now « crumblingly photogenic »—but in the courtyard only—which is now the parking lot. Not super easy to find as just had a small sign on the wall. Breakfast service was quite good and the lady serving was nice. The front desk appeared to be unmanned virtually always. Rooms are clean but VERY basic and bathroom had a giant break-your-head-open 8 inch high step up from the bedroom. If you’re on a budget, the location is decent and walkable to most areas of interest but it’s pretty basic and the neighborhood’s kinda grubby. We must have lucked out that someone was at the desk when we arrived as we never saw anyone there at any time thereafter and we would have been up the proverbial creek.

Loved the hotel and staff....was kind of in a rough area untill we walked up a couple blicks and then was awesome in tje midst of everywhere youd want to be....the hotel from the outside was completely deceiving as when u opened tje doors its like stepping into some kinda palace! The room was clean and great and comfy bed and staff was amazing and the free breakfast was really good!

The staff at Ballarò were very accommodating and the breakfast each morning was more than satisfactory. The room was basic but clean. The only downsides were the location and the noise in the hotel. The hotel is located on what appears to be a very run-down street that does not feel safe at night. As for noise, the soundproofing in my room was less than satisfactory and I was awoken on many occasions (including in the early hours of the morning) by loud noises outside in the hall. As a side note, the pillows were not very comfortable but this was not a major issue. Overall, my stay was pleasant.

Albergo situato nella strada principale, a 5 minuti dal centro a piedi. Personale gentilissimo, sia la proprietaria, sia gli aiutanti della struttura, colazione buonissima, fresca, sia dolce che salata e caratteristica (presenti cannoli, brioche pistacchio, ricotta etc..) Camere grandi e pulite, palazzo storico molto carino e ben tenuto. Ci torneremo!

Excellent location, an easy walk from the train station and the best historical monuments. Rooms are clean and comfortable and the building has historic charm. Breakfast is a great bonus, with yogurt and fruit in addition to the usual patties. Highly recommended as great value for money.

L'accoglienza della signora dell'hotel è eccezionale, cordiale, professionale e gentile. La camera è rumorosa, cioè si sentono troppo i rumori sia da fuori ma anche quelli provenienti da dentro la struttura. Il bagno vecchio e fatiscente. Il palazzo storico e bellissimo, ma di un degrado esterno e interno estremo. Non lo consiglio

We chose this hotel because it is close to the bus station. To our surprise, we were informed that the room did not have a bathroom and in fact the bathroom was across the hall. This information was not in the room descriptions. How we were supposed to know what "private bathroom" means across the hall. We were shocked. Not worth for its price.

Als ich am Nachmittag erschöpft angekommen bin, war das 'Hotel' geschlossen und ich musste die Verantwortliche Person anrufen und auf sie warten, vor dem ich endlich einchecken konnte - sehr nervig!! Das Zimmer sieht wie ein Gefängniszelle aus, es ist extrem laut im und rundum das Hotel, und das Fernsehen hat nicht funktioniert! Die Gegend ist extrem multikulti und voll von Betlern und dubiösen Typen! Palermo ist nicht gerade die sicherste Stadt Europas!!!

Nice place very close to everything. Check out the Ballarò market behind the Hoge for all types of food etc. the streets are walkable with a lot of restaurants nearby.

You couldn’t pay me to stay here again!
You couldn’t pay me to stay here again. The hotel made us feel like we were sleeping in a dirty hospital. Words can’t truly describe the smell. Urine and feces masked by the scent of nauseatingly strong incense. The neighborhood is bad with camp of homeless sleeping outside of the gates, piles of feces, and urine stained corners to greet you. The hotel makes you pay in full upon check in which should have been our first red flag. As soon as we saw the room, we tried to check out, but the people at the front desk left and there was no one to speak with (about 15:30). I sent them a message and received a response that the money for the remaining nights would be refunded, but I would need to wait for the staff to arrive at 8am for their breakfast. We stayed the night hoping that we could make the best of it, but the morning couldn’t come soon enough. It’s a few days after we left and my nose still burns from the smell. We spoke with the staff in the morning and were told that the owner will not refund the money. It was so bad that I just decided to leave and accept the loss of money. It felt unhealthy and unsafe to stay here. We are now happily booked at another hotel, and what a difference. Do yourself a favor and do not stay here. There are so many better places.

I was in a disabled person room with blocked windows and panic hardware on the door. Very institutional and depressing. Shower drains into the washroom area and two towels were needed to stop the water flow. Just fix the flooring! Very small sign to show where hotel was. Area outside hotel very dirty
