We got what we paid for, so will not comment the room standard, as it was quite small and didn't even have minibar (our ambition was to stay at the Hotel mainly for sleeping, rest of the time for sightseeing etc.).
Location was slightly inconvenient as you had to walk to the metro (~1,2 KM I think) but once there it was easy to get around with the metro system (probably you could take a bus connection there, but the waiting would not be worth it I guess).
Very close to a mall/supermarket if you want to have a cheaper breakfast or buy yourself something for snack during evenings.
Definetely you wouldn't stay at this hotel for being close to where the action is, as La Defense is a business centre, it will not be very lively during nights or weekends (limited amounts of restaurants/entertainment).
