Thank you Maryanne for your detailed review. As you would be aware, our Autumn has been very wet, nothing looks as good as it does in summer. From your research, you would realise that Picton is an old town, the continuation of State Hwy 1 between the North and South Islands, hence the busy traffic at times. I did offer to service your room, which meant clean cups etc, but you declined. And, I feel I need to address the point of your luggage.. I am 5ft tall and 50kgs. Both you and your husband are bigger than myself, and there are only 5 steps up, with a railing. To expect me to carry your bags was very surprising to say the least. I genuinely hope you enjoy the rest of your travel.
