Very nice property with modern, fun decor. Staff was very friendly and the location was great. Minus one star for no coffee in the rooms. I understand there is complimentary coffee in the lobby, but only during certain hours. Having to go to the lobby for coffee is inconvenient, and sometimes I want coffee outside the "usual" coffee hours. The staff offered to send an "espresso machine" to the room, however, I don't want espresso and to fuss with a machine. A simple coffee pot in the rooms is preferred. I will continue to remove stars from hotels (especially high-rated properties) that do not offer simple coffee options in all rooms - always disappointing and a deal breaker going forward. I can find other nice hotels that put coffee in the guest rooms.

The hotel was exceptionally tidy, and the beds provided a comfortable sleeping experience. I admired the room's aesthetics. However, one notable absence was an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Evidence of moisture damage was visible on the lights/lamps due to the shower. I appreciated the cocktail hour upon arrival, especially the generosity with the wine, but I wished they offered complementary snacks like pre-packaged nuts and chips to accompany it. I absolutely adored the complimentary tea and coffee provided in the morning. An earlier check-in option would be greatly appreciated, and a noon check-out would be more convenient for many travelers, especially those who had late nights or families with children.

This is a nice, modern style renovated hotel in an old, historic building. We liked the interior of the hotel and the rooms were massive for a big city (I'm used to postage stamp rooms in NYC). The things we didn't love were that there was a constant, loud humming from the room fridge that was always on, the bathroom entrance is right next to one of the beds (so whoever sleeps there is going to be looking into the bathroom all night), and the parking is across the street. Otherwise, it's a really nice hotel and I would recommend it.

We had a wonderful stay at the Kimpton Monaco on our way to see the total eclipse. Too many things to list in a review, but here's my attempt: they texted when we got to our room to make sure we were enjoying our stay, the included breakfast was wonderful, the decor is fresh and upscale, it's dog friendly at no extra cost, the gym has peloton bikes and other nice equipment, the room and hotel was spotless, and it's in a great location for walking around the city. We will definitely be back with our dog in the near future!

We had both dinner there and Sunday brunch and could not be happier. Amazing hotel with an even more amazing staff. And the decor is out of this world also.

Was really taken back. Rooms extremely small, bathrooms not very clean, grime all over the grout, shower head had black mold spores growing on it. Speant $800 on a hotel that was supposed to be upper class. I wouldn’t stay here again.

This hotel has the potential to provide a great vacation experience. However, there are a couple of easy to fix things that prevented us from having the experience we had hoped for and thus mean I would not recommend this hotel to others. For the price I would expect there to be facilities in the room to make a hot drink. In fact, apart from youth hostels, I haven't stayed in a hotel room without coffee / tea making facilities for over 30 years. There is coffee provided downstairs in the lobby, but this is a long trek for a cup of caffeine and every time I went it was out of coffee, tea or hot water. It is also only available till 10.30am so not very convenient. The other major disappointment was that despite advertising bicycles being available for all guests, this was not the case. Thus, we had to rent from bike the burgh (which is an experience I would recommend). I would also expect a hotel in this price range to include a bottle of water in the room, at least upon arrival. The use of umbrellas was a nice touch and the room was very comfortable. The location is great, but they need to make a few easy changes to their service as what should be a positive stay experience was not.

The staff, the amenities, and the location was amazing. I’m big on convenience and there are plenty of restaurants, parks, and historial spots to visit including the cultural district. I was there to celebrate a myriad of celebrations in one weekend and the staff was kind enough to remember. Check in was easy. Check out was seamless. The only opportunity I saw was picking up linens from the hallway after cleaning rooms. I can see it being a “I forgot” I laid them there situation versus carelessness of the staff. I would LIVE here if I had the option. Amazing amazing amazing hotel. Well worth every penny. And before I go, did I mention wine and beer happy hour and bottomless coffee? Must go!
