Lungt fint hotell med bra pool och väldigt bra läge i Port Douglas, kommer att boka detta hotell igen om jag åker tillbaka. Rekommenderar Meridian starkt!

Hemsidan ger en fel bild av hotellet poolen och rummen är mindre i verkligheten Vårt rum var pyttelitet hade inte ens en stol att sitta på och en liten tv satt på ett skåp och vi kunde inte sitta och se på den. Skulle stanna 5 nätter men checkade ut efter en natt för att ta in på ett annat hotell.

Fräscht och lugnt
Fräscht hotell med bra läge i Pt Douglas. Under vår vistelse var det uteslutande par som bodde där, dvs inga barn. Hotellet kan hjälpa till att boka utflykter, dessa behöver alltså inte bokas på förhand. Det var bra att det fanns möjlighet att tvätta och att köket hade diskmaskin. En del rum hade egen altan/brygga vid poolen, vilket såg trevligt ut. Vi bodde några våningar upp och hade en rymlig balkong.

Jätte trevlig personal.Lugnt läge i ett lugnt område. Bra mataffär 10 min prom, trevliga restauranger. Tvättmaskin och torktumlare utanför varje rum.

The property is very basic and a bit tired. The studio room was clean but extremely small. Access to a complimentary washer/dryer was very handy. Wasn't permitted to extend my check out time, even by half an hour. Property is walkable to everything. If you just want clean, basic and affordable, this is a good choice. But it wouldn't be mine again.

Super Unterkunft, tolle Lage, schöner Pool. Wir kamen etwas später an - und obwohl die Rezeption schon geschlossen war, war alles organisiert und kamen schnell auf unser Zimmer.

10/10 highly recommend
Highly recommend Meridian Port Douglas. We had a fantastic time. We were greeted at reception by a friendly and smiling Sue, who promptly checked us in and showed us to our apartment. We chose the one bedroom apartment with pool access and it did not disappoint. Clean, tidy, kitchen fully equiped, comfortable bed and pillows. The property itself was great. it was amazing to be able to sit on our own pool deck and if we wanted a swim access was easy. Location was a quick 1 minute walk to the main street of Port Douglas where we were spoilt for choice of what restaurants/food out lets and shops for everyone. if it was the beach you were after that was only 5 minutes walk away from the property. Thank you to Sue and John for making our stay great.

Amazing location & quiet property. We had a garden suite & our own courtyard which was so lovely & private! The pool is amazing & you can walk everywhere from this location. Best day of snorkelling from Port Douglas with Wavelength - amazing stay!

The Meridian was such a nice place to stay. The location is great, 5 minute walk from the beach, from main street and very close to everything in town. The pool area is beautiful, so quiet and relaxing. We liked that it was Adults only, to be honest. We did not stay in the rooms with direct access to the pool, but I'll try those next time! The room was big, with a well organized kitchen and a huge bathroom. It had a clothes line, iron and iron board, coffee maker... The balcony was too small though, with only two chairs, not very comfortable. But I am sure they have rooms with bigger ones. We had a laundry room (washer/dryer) next to our bedroom that we could use as much as we wanted (it is free, they have soap on site as well). That was super convenient. The only things I would improve: access to beach towels (they are kept in reception area and staff is not always there), hot tub water did not seem very clean, the room had a couple of wiggly doors... very small things. Overall, we loved the place and will stay there again the next time we visit. Also, the person at reception was super helpful. We booked our transportation from and to the airport through the hotel and it was super efficient. She made sure to confirm our pick-up time and location, even though we moved to another hotel the last night (we decided to stay an extra night and the Meridian didn't have rooms).

Strange Covid regulations, we had to make our own bed etc. In Cairns we had full service each day and we are paying top dollar at Meridian.

Thanks for your review. Apologies for any mis understanding, Meridian is an Apartment Style/ Self Catered Property, which means rooms are not serviced on a daily basis. This is the most common style of accommodation in Port Douglas and is nothing to do with Covid procedures. Typically Self Catering Apartments provide a linen service every 7 days and the Meridian exceeds this expectation considerably.

Relaxed Quiet Accommodation
We stayed four nights at Meridian as part of a longer trip around Queensland. Our one bedroom apartment was spacious and comfortable and well appointed. A day bed on the deck if you needed to relax. The pool is long enough for exercise and sparkling clean. We were surprised with a generous cheese platter and bubbles on arrival. The property was maintained COVIDSafe and the managers extremely helpful and friendly. We would stay there again.

Lovely Port Douglas.
A lovely complex - bright, clean and well maintained. It’s not huge but that’s a good point. Three floors plus garage in basement (parking is free). Bed was huge and very comfy. Studio apartment was bright and reasonably spacious. Location was extremely handy for the Main Street, beach and markets. The complex (and town) were quite quiet because of the Covid effect. But we enjoyed our stay there nevertheless. Staff (Sue) was very welcoming and helpful. All in all, a great success.

Hi Andre Thanks for your review We note your comment about the pool temperature , the nights have been cold and the pool heater is struggling to keep the temperature at an acceptable temperature. We have had an additional heat exchanger ordered for some time and unfortunately there have been delays in installation that have been outside our control

The property was just lovely. The only one thing I could say is our room did not have one photo on the wall. Port Douglas is a stunning part of the world. Our apartment had 4 bare walls. There could have been a photo of a beautiful beach, a sunset, the Great Barrier Reef etc etc. not having any photos up made the apartment a bit bland.

Impressive quaint retreat
Although the hotel itself is slightly older, the cleanliness and presentation of rooms was impeccable, the grounds were extremely well kept and the pool area was so relaxing! The overall vibe of this hotel made for the perfect long weekend getaway.
