Reading some of the about 400 rewiews about this hotel in advance of our stay there, makes me wonder if I´ve got it wrong, or a lot of other people have got it wrong. What we came to was a hotel with the lobby filled with old worn out furniture looking like a storage room for old furniture. The room five stairs up had a broadloom that had it`s best years several years behind today. The only closet was very small and narrow for two persons. Trousers couldn´t hang strait in it.
The breakfast room entrance was every day filled with empty boxes, cases with empty bottles and filled ones, and other waste and made You think You were in a bin room.
The breakfast was ok but it wouldn`t hurt if the breakfast staff could look like they liked their job.
The cleaning personnell, however, worked fast and did the best they could given the circumstances.
I have stayed at thousands of hotels during my 73 years, but never have I seen a hotel of this standard put four stars after their name.
I would rate it two plus or three, maybe.
The location, however, was well worth four stars.
