A relaxing holiday
We had a lovely relaxing time at the villa. It is on the edge of town, so nice and quiet, but an easy walk to bars and restaurants and about 15 minutes walk from the lovely sandy beach. The town is very Spanish, so there aren’t many English there, but we found that most of the restaurants had one waiter that spoke English. This also means that most restaurants don’t take bookings for dinner before 9pm. The villa was well equipped (although there is not dishwasher) and the addition of the outside drinks fridge was ideal. The pool was great and the outside was private and there were enough sun beds and parasols for everyone. The shaded seating areas were great too and we made good use of the bbq on the evenings that we stayed in. The communication with the owners was very good. Whilst we were there there was an issue with the water tank in the en-suite bathroom. They arranged for a plumber to come round within half an hour of us calling them and the tank was replaced and working again in less than 4 hours!

Nice Villa in great location
Villa Christina is a nice semi detached villa in a residential area, a short walk from great restaurants, bars and the beach front. The villa is a bit tired in places but was very clean and everything in the villa worked. It is a shame that the master bedroom does not have a double or Kingsize bed with appropriate bedding. As per the website, it has two single beds with single bedding on each bed. A proper Kingsize would benefit the villa enormously. The outside eating areas, garden and pool are fabulous and one of the main reasons for us choosing the villa. In this respect, it did not disappoint. There is lots of seating and shelter from the sun which is essential and the pool was lovely and very well maintained. A large outside fridge is a great touch to keep all your drinks cool and easily accessible whilst enjoying the outdoor area and pool. Lastly, the owners were very responsive before and during our stay.

Great Place to relax
The Communication with Catherine and Steve was via Email and always very good Also the Check In was pretty easy and we could enjoy 1 week of nice vacations. As in spain very common the furniture is kind of in a different condition but as we spent most of the time outside it was totally fine for us. Would recommend this location and book it again. Thank you Catherine & Steve!

Villa Christina
Rhona & I have stayed in many villas previously and were not disappointed with our 1 week stay at Villa Christina. The villa was spotlessly clean inside & out & well equipped for our purposes. It also had the cleanest swimming pool we have ever swam in. The owners were helpful, friendly & efficient throughout the booking process and their local contact, Raluca, was an absolute delight. The El Portil area is very Spanish with plenty of good quality eating places & beautiful beaches, and we would recommend both the villa & the general area to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.

Lovely villa in beautiful area
The villa is lovely and we especially enjoyed the outside space; plenty of room and a good sized pool which was well maintained. It’s within walking distance to lots of cafes and restaurants and we loved being totally immersed into the Spanish way of life. Communication with the villa owners was easy and prompt and they provided lots of useful information.

Everything you need for a relaxing family holiday
Lovely villa with everything you need inside and out. Amazing pool and outside space with plenty of outdoor seating and loungers. Owners were very quick to respond to any queries and sort out any problems. We didn’t hire a car and it isn’t required unless you want to go further afield. We were happy to explore the local area on foot. There are plenty of shops and restaurants which had everything available to us to make for a great holiday. We also visited the local beaches which have lovely soft sand, are nice and clean, with amenities and activities if wanted.
