Rooms good but poor service
We had a nice stay but bad experience in the reception. When we arrived we kindly asked if it was possible to look at another room but where met with reluctance and attitude instead of a simple helpful answer. When we finally got a new room it did not at all match what the staff described (they assured it was not facing the yard but it was) so we again kindly asked to be changed back and we where met with the same reluctance. In the end we had a nice stay but did not like feeling like a burden to the staff. That is not the way a hotel should work. It is always better with a kind "no, sorry" rather than making the customer feel uncomfortable.

We did not enjoy coming back to the hotel after a long day out to find the house keeper had left the balcony doors wide open, we had closed and locked them before leaving. Also the toilet leaks all behind and through the bathroom floor.

Such an amazing stay. We went for our 10 year anniversary and the hotel spoiled us with a special gift in our room. The staff were helpful and accommodating. We didn't have a car and they kept our luggage for us before check in and after check out. I'll recommend it to everyone.

Overall we enjoyed our stay as it was central and very reasonably priced. Decor is quite dated and there’s visible wear in places that probably should be addressed (peeling paint in the bathroom, broken curtains etc). We could not fault the staff or the cleanliness. Very helpful and accommodating and the room was spotless.

Easy parking available and just outside of the town centre and is walkable but bus or car access was easy. Property is looking a bit dated so an upgrade would definitely lift the place up. Swimming pool isn’t covered or heated and gym equipment was quite old. Apart from those negatives, the staff were very professional and would recommend this hotel for a cheap place to stay.

It was good that it was out of town so not noisy. Parking was great and convenient for the bus to and from the Airport. The walk to the CBD was longer than ideal but very pleasant along the lake and good for exercise so we didn't mind the process.

Bar area and bar staff was lovely. We couldn’t get into our room until 4pm so we were left waiting for an hour. Maybe a complimentary beverage could be offered or guidance on using the facilities instead of being told to wait in the corner.

Quiet place: I like that. My room has a patio facing the lake: that is great. Linens are great, king size bed is just 2 twin beds put together: we can feel the seam in between: not so good. Hidden charge: $15 for parking: very annoying. Overall: too pricey for the comfort it provides.

Our king size bedroom has a balcony with Lakeview. The view was amazing from there. The bed and pillows were very comfortable and soft. The room was clean and all staff were very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and definitely recommended.

Great place to base yourself for a stay in Queenstown. Heritage has it all. Room was great, pool, spa awesome. It’s a 15-minute walk into town which was spectacular and invigorating. Hill to climb coming back tested a few people but it was good exercise for us especially after a Ferg burger and a beer! Recommend staying here.

Liked the location just outside of the main town. A car is recommended. Pool and gym facilities are nice. Rooms are a little dated but large and spacious. Beds very comfortable. Had a slight issue over the parking, but was able to straighten it out with the manager. Overall a pleasant stay.

Staff very friendly. Guest laundry facilities very low cost at 2dollar per wash and 2dollar per dry. Housekeeping staff lovely. Fairly easy walk into town but steep uphill on the way back but bus drops off right outside hotel . Beds very comfy. Room very dark. Had nice balcony. Bath had seen better days

The restaurant and bar are mediocre at best. The hotel does not capitalize on its lake view. It has no ambiance whatsoever. However, our room L403 had a spectacular view which made up for the aforesaid.
