“Vi bodde på Painter’s Lodge 3 nätter. Vi hade det bekvämt och bra på rummet. Receptionen var välkomnande men inte särskilt informativ. Maten på hotellet var dyr och tråkig. Det fanns ingen chans att ta sig in till city i Campbell River förutom att köra själv, så vi var hänvisade till hotellets restaurang. Första kvällen beställde jag och min man 2 helt olika rätter, men fick exakt samma mat förutom att köttet var olika. Sparkoncept. Vi valde att äta i puben de andra kvällarna med både billigare...

“Overall the area is obviously stunning and beautiful, so that’s the main reason to stay there. It’s calm, quiet and a great place to unwind. The lodges themselves are a little rustic and basic, but they are fine. The service was super friendly and helpful. Was truly disappointed in the restaurant. The prices were expensive and for $45 I would have expected the seafood pasta to have fresh local seafood (after all…it’s located on the ocean) but the frozen seafood which barely had any meat to it...

“Comfortable cottage, but with short stairs from bedroom to washroom for those with mobility issues. We enjoyed the peaceful ocean setting with wonderful views and wildlife discoveries. Kitchen is well equipped. Michelle was there to greet us and explain what we needed to know.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 day stay at this VRBO. The kitchen amenities were so fully inclusive that we usually ate supper meals here rather than dine out. The hot tub was a nightly must and driving either into town or out to hiking locations was super easy. This is a great destination spot for people, like us, wanting to get to know the Campbell River area.”

“It's been a while since our visit to Quadra Island, but with such an amazing time we had, it is hard to forget. We arrived in to the house at the sunset and from that moment I feel in love with this place. I will never forget the view from the terrace with the sun hiding in the water. It was spectacular!!! We spent an amazing week there and never wanted to leave. The house itself is amazing too and equipped with everything we needed. Not to forget about the Jacuzzi with the views to die for!...

“The property is lovely, the house top-notch with very comfy accoms for 2 couples +2 singles, and the kitchen fully stocked with all the mod cons (very picky detail: no hand mixer for making whipped cream, from a woman who travels with her own knives :P ). “What a gem! Calm water, crabs everywhere, porpoises out the window. It is a classic Canadian cabin, just like in lake country, except without the mosquitoes but with salmon right outside. We managed to get there in a small open boat (our big one was out of commission) by doing a deal with nearby April Pt Marina.”
