“Don’t be fooled by the Westin branding. Classic domestic hotel: looks good from a distance but rooms too hot and too dry, no way to control heating, fixtures and fittings falling apart, horrible smells coming from the plumbing, poor cleanliness, offensively bad coffee etc. Honestly, I suspect it’s no better or worse than the neighbouring hotels, just giving an honest review from a European perspective. Staff were very friendly though, and it’s very close to the ski area. Good restaurants...

One issue is that the entrance is hard for taxi driver to find if they have never been there before. Also, the front desk don't seem equiped well for foreigners. “From all the places I have been to in China, this place just stands out on top. The staff were super helpful, and everyone I talked to there could speak English.
