Simple, but clean and nice. I guess it is good value for money in Reykjavik. Would have been practical with some more furniture, for instance a chair, small table and some hangers for clothes.

Very well located (right next to a geothermal swimming facility and downhill from the Hallgrimskirkja). Only issue was not a big one. My flight got in very early (before ataff was there) so was not sure if I could leave my bags in the office before check in (yes, you may!) Overall I would definitely recommend it.

THE TOWELS AND BEDSHEETS WERE NOT CHANGED, OFTEN I HAD NO TOWEL THAT I WOULD TAKE SOMEONE ELSE'S, DESPITE NOTIFYING EXPEDIA. FOR SUCH A LONG STAY. TOO PRICY TO NOT HAVE THE BASICS. THE RECEPTION MANAGER ENTERED THE ROOM WITHOUT KNOCKING FOR NO REASON, WHILST I WAS NAKED AND CHANGING, THIS WAS ODD AND UNPROFESSIONAL, SHE JUST ASKED WHAT BED I AM IN WHICH WAS ALREADY ENTERED ON THEIR SPREADSHEET WHEN CHECKING IN, AT LEAST SHE WAS FEMALE BUT JUST BECAUSE SHE WORKS THERE DOES NOT MEAN THAT SHE CAN RANDOMLY COME IN WITHOUT ADDRESSING THE ABOVE ISSUES AND FOR NO REASON. THE AREA IS CONVENIENT NEAR THE CHURCH, MAIN AREAS, TO WALK TO. I HAD FELT THAT IT WAS TOO PRICY, TO NOT HAVE BASICS OF CLEANLINESS IN THE ROOM. THERE WERE SOME ANNOYING GIRLS IN THE ROOM WHO WOULD SPEND AGES IN ODD HOURS TO JUST KEEP ZIPPING THEIR LUGGAGE, RUSTLING AROUND ETC, MY 1ST EXPERIENCE IN A HOSTEL AS AN ADULT, AS IT IS A COSTLY CITY AND I DID NOT THINK THAT THIS WAS WORTH THE PRICE BUT IT DID COST MORE TO HAVE THIS FEMALE ONLY ROOM WITH LESS BEDS IN IT, AS I DID NOT WANT TO SHARE AS MIXED IN A ROOM WITH TOO MANY BEDS.

Hello Manisha,Please note that you broke the house rules by taking others guests towels. If you wanted a fresh towel or a changed of linen you could have simply asked us. Expedia does not take care of linen and towel replacements at hostels, nor hotels.In a hostel, in a dormitory room, it can be expected that other guests or staff enter the room at different hours of the day. Staff will never enter the room without a reason and are instructed to knock before opening the door. If the person in charge forgot to knock we do apologize for that.As for other guests in the room making sounds that annoy you, we would advise you to book a private room in the future.Best regards,Team Baron’s

Es ist alles sehr sauber. Das Check-in ist unkompliziert und die Lage sehr gut. Einzig, es dürfte etwas mehr Toiletten und Duschen geben, man musste teils warten, da es nur so wenige hat.

My first stay here. Have been many other places in Reykjavik and this was quite nice for the price. Convenient to BSI and the shopping/eating areas. Next to a pool. Close to the top of reykjavik with good views.

The property parking was difficult to find due to area construction (not necessarily their fault!) The elevators were strange - seeming to slam closed without adequate time to enter/exit. Breakfast had extremely limited options.

There are two hostels in the same building B47 and Baron’s. I did have a bit of trouble finding the front door of this hostel. But after I was in, it was all good! Nice big windows in the staircase to go between floors, there is also an elevator. The shared kitchen had nice big windows to look out, wish was lovely when making food or just for sitting and chatting. The shared bathrooms were very clean as well as the showers. I had a private room with my daughter and it was cleane, the bed, pillows and blankets were comfortable. The staff were great! There was a slight issue with the lock on my door malfunctioning, several times. But it was easy to find a staff to reset it. This problem never happened before, they know it will need to be replaced. ( that was not a complaint, just my experience) I would definitely go back to thsi hostel, it’s close to the general bus stops, also the bus stop needed to catch your bus. It’s also close to walking to the bus terminals as well. And going down to explore the city and night life. There was a shared box so after your travels if you wanted to leave things you didn’t want to take with you, you could gift to someone else who may benefit from it - like food, shampoo. Etc. Overall my experience was great!

This property is several different hostels sharing one building. When you walk around the back of the building, you find the entrance there. Even though you cannot check in early, they do allow you to drop your bag off. After that, you can have a bite at Cafe Loki, explore the church, explore the shops and when you are hungry again, have a pulled lamb hot dog from the food truck. I would not pay for the breakfast at the hostel when cheap, delicious food options are right in the area. I would stay here again, it was very clean and had plenty of bathrooms to accommodate the guests. The bed was comfortable.

Check in was very easy. Chrck out was difficult. Nobody was at the reception so all persons who want to check out write papers with name and check out time and hope that this is ok for the hostel. Breakfast was great.

Warm and convenient
I really enjoyed my stay. I loved having my own, personal space for sleeping and it served with my active plans for Iceland. The morning breakfast was unexpected but so wonderful as well. There were four bathrooms and two three showers so never had any issues with being able to use. Also, this was so convenient being a 15 min walk from BSI terminal and a five minute walk to bus stop 8.

建物に入るためのロック番号が事前に送られておらず困りました。 また、ドアの鍵が壊れて施錠できない日がありました。 いずれもスタッフに伝えるとすぐ丁寧に対応してくれましたし、朝ごはんは色々食べられてよかったです。ハットルグリムス教会が近くて便利です。
