“The staff was wonderful and so was the breakfast. The balcony overlooking the garden was also wonderful. Monkeys were in the trees when we arrived. Short drive to the national park.”

“Very friendly owner of the place. She didn't speak English, but we were able to communicate nevertheless. Breakfast was good. On the day of check out we had to leave very early, she was so kind to cut us some fruits for take out the night before. The hotel is very close to the entrance of the national park. ”

“The location was perfect for seeing Rio Celeste and other rainforest tours. Everyone was really friendly and the food was great. Communication was somewhat interesting because I hadn’t brushed up on my Spanish enough but we made it work! The bed wasn’t super comfortable, shower didn’t get very hot and the walls weren’t exactly soundproof but for the price it was still a good value. I’d definitely stay here again!”

“The Casita was just as advertised. Small but didn't feel small. We were nervous about the size before moving in but it felt the right size and we didn't feel crowded or closed in. It had everything that we needed and expected. The view was great and the location was fine. We had a car so getting to groceries etc. was not a problem. Barbara and Lawrence were great hosts. We really enjoyed Lawrence's band practices. All in all a great stay.”

“This is a very unique house in a very quiet and peaceful location. We only visited for 1 night so we did not get to enjoy it as much as we could have. Small miscommunication with our booking but as we went on an evening tour, things were straightened out and all was well by the time we returned. This would be a very fun place for a group of friends as there was a big field to play in, tons of beds, and a big covered communal area to play games. It's definitely a change of pace from the busier,...

“We loved our stay at casa Rio Familia. The house was equipped with more than we needed. Great snacks and wine and beer plus sodas. The property is quiet and private yet close to everything. Many amazing birds and the gardens in the front are gorgeous. Definitely stay more than one night. Johnny the guide Rick and Ashley recommended was great and reasonably priced.”
