CHECK IN WAS A DISASTER!
Three times I had to walk back to the desk,
because our room key did not work. Makala, the woman on duty made a new key each time. Each time it did not open our room. We got in when she was finally able to open the door with a master key.
But after unpacking our suitcase, she came back with a new key which still didn't work so we were told we couldn't stay in that room. Packing up our things, we waited to find out where our new room would be. For over 15 minutes we could not find either of the staff anywhere on the premises. Both were AWOL.
Isaiah, the young man on duty, finally showed up and took us to another room. He said it was an "upgrade" for the inconvenience, but it was not accessible like our original reservation.
BUT, there was no key! We waited for almost an hour before speaking with Makala about getting a key. She was borderline rude and said we should just go to dinner and she would have a key for us when we returned. That was not an acceptable response.
She claimed she had other guests to check on, something about making sure of their safety, whatever that meant.
We did go have dinner and when we went to the lobby, Makala saw us and slapped a key on the counter right away, along with a little chuckle, like everything was OK.
