Busy enough but away from main hustle . Restaurants around and shopping . Great 20 min walk to San Marc’s Piazza through the many winding alleyways.”

“Massimo’s house is in an outstanding location, very quiet, away from tourists and yet right near everything you want to see in Venice. We had a wonderful stay there as a family. The house is very beautiful and has a few outdoor seating areas to relax with a cup or coffee or a glass of wine. Massimo is very helpful and responsive. He gave us recommendations for water taxi, restaurants and tour guide. We really enjoyed our stay and will happily come back again. Grazie mille Massimo!!”

“The actual studio apartment was not available due to damage from a falling tree. Our host was very kind and provided alternative accommodation for us and was in contact all the time to offer assistance. ”

“I stayed for one week during the Biennale - a great place in the more touristy part of the City, but still quiet enough for a very good night's sleep. Central and walkable to all destinations within the city (5' to Piazza San Marco; 25' to the train station, 25' to the Biennale etc..) Be aware of mosquitos in Venice due to the canals, so if you don't like them, bring some spray. Also, the Internet in the apartment was slow, so if you also need to work, bring some patience (and maybe one...

“It was a lovely apartment in a great location; easy walking distance to all the major sights. Hosts were very helpful and accommodating. Giacomo picked me up from the train station and drove me to the apartment, and I was able to check in right away! I very much enjoyed my stay here.”

“The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with plenty of room for our family of five. It was well equipped having a microwave and washing machine. Communication with the owner was easy and she gave us plenty of tips and advice to make our stay easy. “L’appartamento è grande, chiarissimo. Ha un bel giardino dove si può sedersi o mangiare. Si può vedere un bel tramonto a due passi. I due bagni sono moderni. La cucina ha tutto quello di qui si ha bisogno. Tanti restauranti accanto all appartamento. Si può venire a piedi dalla stazione in 10 minuti e senza avere un ponte con scalini a attraversare. Molto comodo con le valigie. L’unica cosa è che l’appartamento è un po’ lontano dal centro ma c’è il vaporetto vicino e che non ci sono supermercati...

“This is a fantastic, clean, quiet place in Murano. We stayed at a few different VRBOs in Italy where we had issues with hot water. But here, my family of 5 were able to take hot showers and use the washer as well. The beds were very comfortable. And communication with host was very good. One thing for potential guests: You will have to factor in the cost of travel from Venice to Murano. I am not sure if there was a cheaper way to travel, but we bought a 35euro ticket that could be used over...

“Die Wohnung ist liebevoll eingerichtet, die Küche überaus grosszügig ausgestattet. Gerne kocht man darin. Mit 2 Bädern, ein grosses Wohnzimmer und schöner Balkon konnten wir uns gut ausruhen . Sehr geeignet für mehrere Personen , aber auch für uns 3 sehr angenehm. Der Gastgeber ist sehr freundlich , und beantwortet alle Fragen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.”

T.ex. restaurangerna blir billigare, bättre och trevligare ju längre bort från San Marcoplatsen man kommer, och jag menar gångavstånd. Det samma gäller tydligen hotellen. "San Marco Palace" är dyrare än många finare hotell jag bott på i t.ex. London och New York, men har en standard att jämföra med ett svenskt...
