“We had a wonderful stay at No. 5 Valley Lodge. The staffs were so helpful and friendly. Frankie was the best. He arranged everything for us from national park tickets, meals, transportation. Anything we ever needed. They were also available through wechat at all times if we had any questions. The hotel is far from downtown (if you want to go to other destinations) but very close to Zhangjiajie NP. Highly recommend this place and we would absolutely book again if we come back. ”

“The owner made things very easy for us. The best host even we had a language barrier, she tried her best to help us. We had very generous breakfast. The property is very clean. “Wonderful place with a wonderful owner. We were here in December and in that time of the year, be prepared to have warm clothes. As in every house around, you wear warm clothes inside as well. “If you want to stay in the country side with no room service, no restaurant, outdoor bathroom (which I don’t recommend in the winter) then this is the hotel for you. It is probably not the best option for tourists that are visiting Zhangjiajie as it in an isolated area. The hotel itself is clean, and the views are amazing! “Location of the hostel is very good. Walkable to the Zhangjiajie National Park entrance. Overall room wasn’t that clean. The washroom had that typical smell and I saw a few stains on the bed sheets. There are only stairs but highest floor is only 5 or 6 I think. Overall it’s just a cheap acceptably clean place to stay near Zhangjiajie National Park.”

“ Ok, there is both good and bad with this Hotel. Let's start out with the good. The price was good. The room was clean. The room looked nice. The décor was nice. The view from the Balcony in my room was nice, but the view really depended on the weather. if the weather was bad, you could not see the mountains and were just stuck seeing other buildings It had hot water and decent water pressure.
