“Fantastic place to stay if you don’t mind being outside the city center. Angela the owner is a fantastic host. She happily called for dinner reservations on our velar, and even arranged for parking to minimize walking for my elderly father. This is a huge deal inside the city walls. Grazie! The rooms are clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great as well. Excellent value for the price. Highly recommended. ”

“A country side hotel, 20 minutes walking distance from Valfabbrica, on the pilgrim path towards Assisi. Very nice and helpful staff, the chef was very good at English and made wonderful sandwhiches for our next days walking. The manager was very wellcoming and helpful. The bed was very squeaky. ”

“Me and my wife stayed at Castellero and it was pure class, everything. Paulo and his wife are the best hosts and are always respectful and ready to help if we needed it. We will miss them alot. The place is actually a luxurious villa up on a hill and everything breethes class and are very well cared for. So, the room, the food and the whole estate with the pool and everything else like the garden and furnitures is utterly class. We will definetely come back, it is just so good. ”

“Bellissima location, begli arredi, personale gentilissimo. La vista è mozzafiato, il parcheggio è comodissimo. Un piccolo consiglio: mettere nella porta di ingresso della cucina/salotto degli scuri o delle tende spesse per creare più buio (chi dorme in quella stanza nel letto a castello ha la luce del mattino che lo sveglia). Come in tutte le strade che conducono agli agriturismi in Umbria ci sono delle buche pazzesche, è bene avvertire di non giungere con macchine con un assetto basso oppure...

“Un alloggio dal quale siamo fuggiti. Il bagno come in un vecchio ospedale sporco e non ripristinato. Bidet fuori uso. Perdite umide dai muri e inadeguata la stanza, la signora gerente che ci ha accolti con sgarbo e superficialità, oltre a richiedere il rimborso abbiamo richiesto un voucher ad expedia per poter rimediare a questo spiacevole inconveniente con sue bambine a bordo. Mosche morte ovunque, mi sono attrezzata con molte foto per riprendere anche gli infissi aperti e la doccia distrutta....

“We arrived early and could check in. Used pool and jacuzzi overlooking Perugia. Lovely and relaxing at the end of the trip. First impressions of this ancient castle did not disappoint. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Hotel and grounds were impressive. Room was very comfortable. Had a drink outside before dinner. Still taking it all in. Dinner was incredible. Had a great nights sleep and breakfast was a huge choice of self serve items. Lots of home made unusual choices. Loved our unique castle...

“Die Kommunikation mit dem Vermieter war nett und unkompliziert. Allerdings wurde vergessen uns vor Anreise mitzuteilen, dass ein Bad der Villa gar nicht benutzt werden kann! Zudem war das Haus bei unserer Anreise nicht geputzt. Was unser Urlaubserlebnis in Summe doch sehr getrübt hat. Das Haus ist in die Jahre gekommen und nicht nur die Betten haben die besten Jahre hinter sich. Wir waren zu dritt, haben uns aber gefragt, wie man als Gruppe von 8 Personen die Mahlzeiten gemeinsam einnehmen...

So sweet (but read if you have mobility issues)
"Breakfast sugar overdose, for sure. The hotel is conveniently located close to Perugia train station, but mind that the city center is 400mt elevated in relation to the hotel. I injured myself during the trip and had to move with crotches. This was a challenge, as Perugia is truly a hilly town. However, the hotel is very well connected by bus that takes you straight from the hotel door to several main squares of the city in 20 minutes. The staff was very very kind, in particular the staff working at the breakfast station. If you have a crave for sugar, this hotel will satisfy your needs. It does need to catch up with vegan options though. I found the room impeccably clean and cozy. Not the most sophisticated or contemporary, which I also do not enjoy. My bedroom was facing a road that gives access to the highway and still was rather quiet (in case you're noise sensitive consider asking for floor 2 or 3, facing backyard). There are two supermarkets 10 minutes walking distance from the hotel, in case you need them, as well as pharmacies. All and all, a nice staying with a fair price. I'm adding a photo of the swimming pool on the terrace (open until 19:30). Bring a cap if you want to dip."
