A quiet, clean hotel on the waterfront in Scalloway. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and answered our questions about the area. The hotel has a good restaurant on prem, with a good, varied menu. There is a convenience store a few steps away that carries various food and drink, as well. No downsides to staying here. I recommend it.

Room was nicely furnished and bed was very comfortable. Food was local sourced, fish and lamb, and was excellent. Staff was very nice!

A short drive from Lerwick but a world away. This hotel is in a nice quiet area and has a bar/restaurant with good quality food. The room was clean, the shower hot, and the bed very comfortable. I would definitely stay again.

I expected more for the price
This hotel gives the impression of being run without staff (except for the bar). Its in a great location overlooking the water and there is a bus service to Lerwick. We had a lovely room and the bed was very comfortable with lovely white linen. The bedrooms have quality furnishings. However, breakfast is pre-packed and low quality. I often judge accommodation on the quality of the breakfast and this was poor. I like a (good) continental breakfast but this was just cheap (in an expensive hotel). Cooked breakfasts are available at the Corner Cafe or (better) the Fjara Cafe in Lerwick (booking recommended). The shower is good but the thermostat did not change the temperature of the water which was slightly on the hot side. The bathroom fan in the room next door is very loud and quite intrusive.
