Vi bokade ett rum med extrasäng för vår son i 4 nätter och när man ställde in sängen i rummet så kunde man inte öppna terrasdörren! Säljer man ett Delux rum med extra säng så måste rummet vara anpassat för det. Då är det bättre att säga nej. Då vi hade ett rum med tarras och på terassen fast det inget att sitta eller ligga på utan terassen var helt tom. Poolområdet på terrasen var så dåligt! Tre solbäddar, inga handdukar.

The room is very comfortable and we love the washroom with a clean and nice bathtub. We visited 3 hotels during the trip and this was the only one that provided bottles of water, which is crucial in Singapore as it was very hot here. At first, we were a bit concerned about the transportation but the hotel provided a free shuttle bus that was very convenient.

Lovely hotel, issue with hotels.com
Hotels.com didn’t communicate with the hotel about our requirements, which meant Amara tried to put us on two separate floors. Hotels.com didn’t mention to us the credit card charge of 500SGD they put on hold throughout your stay… slightly incovenient when you don’t own a credit card, and are already there, ready to check in. The hotel itself was lovely, great pools, amazing breakfast, nice towels and robes and very friendly, smiley staff. Would definitely stay there again! One suggestion would be for the hotel to purchase hair towels, as their body ones are lovely and huge and the face towels are inadequate for long hair, and there was no hand towel provided either.

we arrived earlier, the lady told us we cannnot remain at the hotel and should come back after 3 pm for checking but she will call us in case room is ready before. we went away and askted then again at 2.30 and she told yeds is ready but never called. we wa not informed about breakfast, no hours, not where ist is. the pool is really loud, no possibily to stop the water and even no possibilty to close the ligths. there was workin in front uf us, the whole night so we didnt slept well.

5 mins walk to Imbia Station, there is a short cut from hotel back door to Palawan beach, love it! Hotel has shuttle to vivocity and casino. bed and pillows are very comfortable, room size is big enough. love the sky pool. love the desert and coffee served at hotel lobby.

Room tends to look old, there are crack marks, coffee machine not working, drinking glass looks old like have been there for a long time and no one is using it and mattress coil uneven.

Arrived in the morning and intended to drop our single bag at the reception before heading out to the attractions. Standard check-in is at 3PM, however a helpful and considerate staff (Ms Nitya) offered a room that happened to be ready by chance. Upon returning from a strenuous day at the attractions, we headed out to the pools. There was no refreshments bar/service counter or any staff around. There was a phone, but it would have been helpful to know through a signage that we can order food/beverages through calling the restaurant. The pool at the ground level was in a secluded and nice area next to some greenery, BUT it would have been good to have some staff there at least coordinating towels, cleaning off the excessive dried leaves, sand and stones in the bottom of the pool. No signage of where to discard used towels or opportunity to order refreshments again. But the greatest disappointment that really left a bad dent in our hope for a nice stay, was when we were trying to get basic food service at their only restaurant - Shutters. It was just the two of us, my daughter (11 y/o) and I - we arrived at the restaurant and there was only two other occupied tables. We ordered VERY simple meals (pasta and noodles). Guests who arrived AFTER us were being served and we continued to sit and stare. Food arrived AFTER waiting for MORE than AN HOUR, and it tasted bland and horrible. Interestingly, they had the audacity to still bill us for the terrible experience!

Upon arrival at 3pm, I had to wait for 10 minutes for able to check in. I was told the room was not ready as I made a last minute booking. I waited for 10 minutes and was whisked away on a buggy towards room. The CSO brought me to the second floor and pointed to me my room and he left. I took some photos and finally went to tap my room key but it didn't work. I tried a few times, still didnt work until i decided to ring the door bell, a woman opened the door!! I was sent to the wrong room. Very embarassed, i went to my actual room on the 1st floor. My room door was opened and the housekeeping was laying the bedsheets. I walked around the front enjoying the nature while waiting and a short while later, the room was handed to me. I enjoyed my one night stay with a basket full of complimentary snacks and full amenities. The jacuzzi was warm and it was beautiful on a full moon night. In the morning, i did a short walk around the area and healed in the nature. The room came with 2 mist for the linen/pillow and it really helped eased the ancieties away and i had a great sleep. The hotel has free shuttle service to Vivocity and you could request for a buggy to the different places within the hotel area.

Our room was spacious, clean. Absolutely no faults. The pools were always clean, towels available. The restaurant always quick and served good food. Rooms have a QR code that guests can scan to request items (towels, water etc) and the app also provides information on the resort and the amenities available, which my partner and I found super helpful and easy to use. Thank you especially (Christine), I believe her name is, and another female and male colleague (who I am so sorry forgot the name) who always greeted us so warmly in the morning at Shutters (breakfast) during our stay.

Unlikely to stay again unless hotel is refurbished
I was concerned about safety. Room can be easily accessed from ledge via balcony. Hotel needs maintenance. Toilet was choked. Kettle was not working properly. Bathtub taps and shower heads also not working properly. But check in was a breeze. Helpful service staff.

The check in was unpleasant, served by two different male staff that was not friendly at all and is not accommodating - would just shut off the request and look away. We has also ask for some directions around the island, but staff does not have the adequate knowledge. Being a hotel smack right in the island, the hotel staff should well understand the island as people are staying here to explore sentosa. Also had similar issue with a night staff when we asked for direction (after clarifying a couple rounds) he started to show impatient There is a strong chlorine smell in the entrance pathway which was very unpleasant Cleanliness of the pool - there were green patches of growing mould/algae at the bottom and hotel interior (hotel restaurant - shutters had aircond leaking as well as growing moulds over the ceiling walls) does not fit the bill of a 5 star hotel at all. Overall very disappointed and is definitely not worth the price at all. There are definitely better stays in sentosa island than this

The villa was not properly cleaned and couple suite was ok Cleaners came to clean the super sticky floor in whole villa and the private pool not sure why looks murky. Next day was clear. The 2nd buggy driver was horrible..sat in buggy waiting for us and didnt even bother to say hello or come down help my dil to bring up a luggage. He just sat there n yawned, looking bored. Expect better service. Breakfast Food was not good. Found a hair on fruits Overall experience was a 5 to 6. As had expected better service for the per night of $900 plus and $600. Place not well maintained given the high cost we paid.:( Tried attaching photos but app not responding.

Amara Sanctuary has to be the only underwhelming and disappointing villa experience in Sentosa. I was with my 5year old (2 of us), managing my luggage and holding my child's hand as the lobby entrance was by a road. There were no other guests at the lobby and there were 2 hotel staff just standing there, watching me lean against the big glass door to hold it open to let my son in and push my luggage through. Given it was a hospitality establishment, some asistance would have been much appreciated. Then came the buggy ride to take us to our room. The platform at the back of the buggy was quite high, and again no assistance was offered to at least load up the bag together. The staff stood there watching as I told my son to stand back from the road and I loaded the luggage myself. We were dropped off in front of our room and the staff didn't dismount from the buggy at all, only pointed to the door and left. Comparing to other hotel villas in Sentosa, where buggy-rides are needed to reach your room, the effort by staff at Amara Sanctuary was utterly disappointing. My child was asleep by the time our food delivery came and the hotel staff insisted I WALK to the lobby at night to collect my item. If the policy has to be strict on no assisting of sending items to guests, the least they could do is offer a buggy pick up? Please work on your service standards to match the premium price your property charges.

It was tranquil checking in and overall a great stay. Didn't like the checkout experience, waiting to speak to a staff but there were many guests in the queue and was abruptly instructed to do drop key for express check out....i had wanted to speak to someone! In the end after waiting some time , i did the drop key abd left. Not booking here again.

This is the first time I stayed in a hotel and checked out very early, because the hotels I stayed in before all checked out at 12pm, but Amara checked out at 11am, and I felt like I had to leave as soon as I woke up. As soon as I entered the room, I found two dead insects on the sheet. Think about turning up the air conditioner and the insects won't come! So sleep well at night. The toilet felt that it was not cleaned. When I flipped up the toilet lid, I found a drop of yellow urine, which was a little uncomfortable. I didn't take any pictures. The room door lock, the equipment locked in the room is broken, but the inner lock at the bottom can be locked. However, the staff are very kind. The explanation is also very detailed.

I was expecting more when I arrived, this place is very underwhelming. There was mould in the room. The place is in dire need of maintenance. The doors in our room had trouble closing properly. Had light globes flickering on and off. All of the pools on the property and their areas (tiles, pool chairs) need to be fixed or replaced. Jacuzzi was not working. I do not recommend any one to book here especially since it’s quite expensive for what you get.
