Bummer to have to read this and respond to it Victoria. Unfortunately though, when you leave a misleading review in the public sphere our small business needs to deal with it. The heating in your room is radiant heating under the tile floors, and it is not only a rare luxury, it works perfectly. You just need to have a little bit of patience. We have many rooms of different sizes and different prices, and the two generally correlate. If you book our least expensive room, you should not expect our largest or most luxurious bathroom. In our more expensive rooms, we do have steam showers, jacuzzi tubs, clawfoot tubs and etc. If that is what you value most, you should book and pay for a room with those features. I will note that several of our smaller bathrooms were hand tiled by RC Gorman himself, and of course irreplaceable. The Hacienda Del Sol was built in 1804; just 5 short years after George Washington passed away. Most of our guests come specifically for a connection to that history, and to the prior guests who have enjoyed it like Ansel Adams and Georgia O’Keefe. It is beautiful adobe with the biggest, most magical trees and clear views of sacred Taos Mountain. In the winter, when you visited, there is snow on the ground and the plant life is not in bloom. In the spring / summer / fall, plants and flowers radiate our property with life and color. If you felt out of your norms, or directionally confused, that is OK; Linda was there to gladly and graciously show you around. If that is not sufficient for you, might we suggest staying in a more traditional corporate hotel in the future? If you were not happy with our complimentary breakfast, you could certainly choose to visit one of many local and exceptional Taos restaurants, as you would inherently do when staying in said corporate hotel.
