The room was comfortable and clean. I think the shared areas could be improved, such as the showers, bathrooms, dinning room and kitchen, as the latter has few utensils and cutlery, to say nothing at all available. In all other respects, very good. Nice place.

The staff were absolutely amazing. We had a problem on our first nights stay and the staff/manager were absolutely fantastic with how they managed the situation and going above and beyond our expectations. Could not fault the staff and sevice. Lovely clean grounds. Great park for our kids to play at. Will definitely be staying here again.

We stayed in the double standard private room with shared bathrooms. Overall the facility was fairly clean and the location was convenient to get to town, right across from the lake and easy to get to Fiordland national park. The first night however our heat did not work in our room and the front desk was closed. Staff were quick to fix it the following day but it completely threw off our first day due to lack of sleep. The walls are also super thin as you can hear everyone walking through the halls and the people in either room beside you. The doors are also very loud and you really have to push and pull to open and close them which also creates a lot of noise. The bed was not the most comfortable and the pillows were basically non existent. We also had to pay for towels.

We stayed at this property on our way to Milford Sound. The room was nice and quiet. The dinner at the restaurant was good -the fish and chips were great. However, the Breakfast Buffet was horrible. The only coffee provided was packaged -freeze dried coffee...and they charged for fresh made coffee. I can recommend for staying but avoid the breakfast and go to town for a nice breakfast.

Good option if you're going to Milford Sounds. We had a cabin with no bathrooms, it was fine. Wifi connection was horrible all over though which is a shame when you are traveling and need to plan things.

Disappointing
Stayed in a double room shared bathroom, in the "Luxmore" - nothing lux about it! $185 for 2 nights. I know it was budget but its very disappointing. - We had to make our own bed when we arrived with a sheet and a duvet that didnt have a cover on it. - No spare blankets. - No aircon. - Bed was hard and sank in the middle so you rolled into your partner. Did not get a good night's sleep. - Minimal furniture - 2 tired bedside tables and 2 stained waiting room chairs, a small cupboard and no floor space for luggage, nowhere to hang towels etc. - Only a sliding door for natural light so you can close the curtain for privacy and sit in the dark room or have everyone see you in your room. - Walls were so thin you could hear the room next foor turning their light switches on! - No towel provided but could rent one for fee. - No kitchen utensils or plates provided - had to rent them for $5 - No bins in the kitchen which was really annoying! Had to go to go out to the big skip bins (very difficult to scrape a dirty plate into a bin above your head whilst lifting a heavy lid). - Showers were cold 50% of the time. - Not alot of shared facilities for the volume of guests e.g people couldn't find an indoor table during dinner time, 2 x working dryers, 2 x toasters etc. Positives: - It was clean - Good location with a lake view - The staff were friendly Probably fine if you're camping.

This property was a large, well maintained property. From the outside, it was older, but I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice, updated bathroom. It was a bit of a weird layout with one room, go into the bathroom/closet and then go into the second room. My only other complaint is we were really far from the others in our party - the property is truly huge and we were at opposite ends. With the booking being made under the same reservation, I would've hoped to be closer. Overall, beautiful view and well maintained. I was happy.

Great place to stay with great view and amenities. Especially love the shared kitchen, shared washroom and great water pressure for the shower area. everything is so clean and regularly maintained. Love our unique triangle room which isn't big but cute and enough room to fit both of us comfortable with great location to the shared ammenities.

The park is close to lakefront walkway that can walk along to town centre (About 1.5km). Parking is ok just outside the cabin. Cooking facility is ok.

Not fancy, but functional. Nice campground cabin with bed, stovetop, microwave, mini frig with a frozen up freezer, coffee and tea pots, cooking necessities and whirlpool bath. Parking alongside cabin and an open courtyard. It was clean and quiet with a nice view of the lake. Good place to stay.

To preface my comments, I will say we were only able to book in one of the lower priced units. Some of the other units appeared to be better appointed. However, we were very disappointed in the condition of our unit. The carpet was threadbare, stained and burned in places. The blankets were strange…only covered the top surface of the Mattress, so had to watch how we covered up. My bed was very worn and when I went to lay down on the bed, the mattress would wrap up around me like a hot dog bun. It also listed a bit to one side, so I felt like I could fall out of bed. The bathrooms were quite a distance away. If you are someone who needs to use a toilet during the night, it matters. The public kitchen and congregate space were clean and well maintained, but the congregate space was too small. We found that some people were working in that area, so we didn’t feel comfortable talking or watching tv in that space.
