Welcome to The Heights! For Starters, you will be greeted with a fresh pan of Talbot Cinnamon Rolls.* For stays three nights and longer, you will also find a cheese, meat, cracker platter in the fridge. The kitchen is equipped with a Keurig coffee maker(drip and K-Cup) with coffee! The fridge is stocked with water, juice and sparkling water.
This 70's era home has been immaculately cared for and has the comfort of 3 Bedrooms, two bathrooms, Living Room, and a complete kitchen. We opened The Heights in December of 2020. The Heights has a cozy front yard and a huge backyard. This property sits on a ridge in Tupelo, MS., one of the highest points in the city. The house has the original wood floors and new ceramic in the kitchen and bathrooms.
The Heights is 2 miles from I- 22 & Hwy 45; 15 min drive to Toyota; 1 mile drive to the Elvis Presley birthplace & museum; Veteran's Park; Tupelo Aquatic Center; 1.5 miles from Historic Downtown; 10 miles to the Tupelo Furniture Market & Buffalo Park; 1 hour from MSU & Ole Miss campuses. The Heights is filled with Elvis, Tupelo, Black history and Chickasaw Nation accents.
This home has a fire pit in the back with outdoor seating and grill.(firewood provided for our guest at no cost.) It has a cozy reading corner (or knitting) in the living area. This property is very spacious and open. While there are antiques accenting the house, this property comes with all new bedding and all new appliances (stove, refrigerator, dish washer, microwave, coffee maker and washer and dryer.) This property has been recently updated and the bathrooms have been totally renovated. One bathroom has a soaker tub and the other bathroom has a walk in shower.
The house is decorated with Tupelo history including, but not limited to: Elvis, Tupelo Fairgrounds, Ruff's Dairy, Johnny's Drive In, Dudies Diner, Carnation Milk Plant, Chickasaw Nation, Black History, Lyric Theatre, Dixie Bell Theatre, Shake Rag, TVA, President Roosevelt, photos, memorabilia and much more.
The Heights has an assortment of board games, chess, corn hole and more.
The record player in the reading nook plays vinyl records. Please feel free to open any of the records. It is also a blue tooth and you can connect your phone to play music from your phone.
There are TVs in the living room and in all three bedrooms. There are no local channels, however they are smart TVs using the internet with many streaming options.
Hand sanitizer and disinfectant wipes are provided.
The host will be available for any special needs and lives on the adjacent property for your convenience.
The house has security cameras on the outside only for your protection.

If Talbot's are not available, Brooks or Love Lee will be available. Talbot House Cinnamon Rolls are made here in Tupelo. Talbot House Bakery & Café is the social enterprise of Talbot House, a nonprofit transition program for women. The Bakery & Cafe provides employment and job readiness to their ladies who are in early recovery from substance abuse.
Their mission is: recovery, community and purpose! Thank you for helping us help our residents find recovery, build a community of support, and find their purpose.
No parking on lawn. There is space for one car in carport and at least three cars on driveway. If there is a need for more parking, there is extra parking space in front of the wood building to the left of the house. Guest will have the entire house at their disposal.
For month long stays and longer, there is a $10.00 per day cleaning fee after the first week which will be billed separately. Housekeeping will clean once per week.
