Undvik detta hotell
Detta är ett hotell som låser dörren på kvällen och ogillar gäster som är ute på fest. Jag var här över nyårshelgen och har dessutom vänner som bor i Udaipur, fick klagomål av hotell-chefen att jag kom hem 23:30 och väckte deras personal. De låser alltså dörren 23:00. Detta slutade med att jag checkade (och fick samtliga pengar tillbaka) ut eftersom jag blev trött på hotellchefens förmaningar till mig, en 41-årig turist som smög in på nattkröken utan att störa. Han betedde sig som om han vore min far, helt absurt. Hotellet har en traditionell och religiös inriktning på och försöker pådyvla gästerna detta, det är tråkigt, hotellets läge är bra annars, det saknas dock frukostrestaurang men finns rakt över vägen. Detta scenario blir ännu mer absurt då Udaipur är en partystad under nyårshelgen. Detta är är något som borde anges när man bokar på hotels.com .

Nice heritage property with lake pichola view from roof top. Lot of option to explore (city palace, gangour ghat, jagdish temple) and for food within walkable distance.

Very humble owner. It's run by Father and Daughter. Despite afternoon check in they took good care of us as we reached early morning. Great location, very near to lake pichola. Good view from rooftop.

Nice small hotel by the lake
Really nice location by the lake. The room was basic but clean and spacious. Good service. The owner was really helpful. The only minus was there were too many dogs barking at night.

The hotel overlooks the lake so the view is nice. There are a couple restaurants steps away from the hotel. The hotel is basic, it could be better with better towels, providing shampoo, hair dryer and space heater. Breakfast was fine. Overall I would recommend this hotel. The owner is very accommodating. Difficult to reach by car but there are lots of Tuktuk.

Wonderful stay, exceptional location
I read a number of reviews before booking a standard room. It was simple but fully lived up to my expectations and I had a wonderful stay. It is a well kept haveli just a stone throw from Lake Pichola and the city palace. You don't get a better location. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to friends.

The property is located in a fantastic location. In the heart of the city in a posh area. Yes it is congested but that’s the charm. Owner is very nice and friendly. He was very helpful. The place is very clean and very well maintained. No regrets!!

Excellent hotel on the lake
No breakfast and no restaurant on the premise. Except that everything is good about the hotel.. Car does not go until the property because of narrow roads. Had to walk 300 mts from nearest parking lot..

Nice hotel in great location you can walk to most things in 5 mins You need to get tuk tuk as car will not get there but cheap enough 100 inr from a car park is enough Basic rooms ac but didn’t really work WiFi okay family run but not really looked after could have been down to holi had to ask for towels water etc Restaurants across the road and elsewhere close by lots to chose from

Wsr alles soweit einfach, aber ordentlich. Gefallen hat uns die zentrale Lage, diese besondere Haveli Atmosphäre, insbesondere das erker artige Zimmerfenster mit Liegemögichkeit davor. Enttäuschend: Kein Duschgel,Haarfön, Safe, Kleiderschrank vorhanden. Bad sauber aber sehr einfach. Frühstück wurde nicht angeboten, weder Kaffee noch Tee noch Wasser auf dem Zimmer verfügbar. Frühstück aber in unmittelbarer Nähe gut möglich. Insgesamt ok und auch Preis Leistung gegeben, aber wir würden und das nächste Mal für ein anderes Hotel entscheiden.

Value for money location near Lake Pichola.
Excellent location for the room rent to be paid. Proximity to all important sites by walking distance in the old city of Udaipur. Experience the stay in 240 years old family property managed and well maintained by the owner Mr Satyendrasinh, with lots of personal care and affection. You may enjoy the beauty of lake pichola for hours from the terrace of the hotel during morning and late evening and relax. No food service (except tea pot) is available in the hotel, but lots of good restaurants (like Rainbow terrace) are just outside of the hotel. Excellent location, family owned and managed property with its own major pluses and few minor minus points compared to hotels.

Best cozy stay at Udaipur with the best view
Aashiya Haveli summarised everything that India is known for - Atithi Devo Bhava. For a start, we reached there at 1 am in the night, and satyadev ji (the host) was there to welcome us. We were given the best rooms along with the best amenities. (Thankfully no TV). The hotel is approx 240 yrs old, with an old world charm. It has the best view of Lake Pichola. The staff is enthusiastic with each request taken care of. Child care is absolutely great. We had breakfast at the terrace every day with a lake view. Satyadev ji helped us with tourist attractions info as well. Overall it was a lovely experience to stay at Aashiya Haveli. Highly recommended for family as well as solo stays. I'm going back for more soon.

Great position, clean roomy and tidy.
This hotel is in the old part of town. It's very close to the water and perfectly positioned for the palace and temple which are just a walk away. Staff are friendly, rooms are tidy and great value for money.

Relaxing and very clean
I was really comfortable and made to feel welcome at this lovely, peaceful family-run hotel. The only thing that was inconvenient was that there is no wi-fi in the rooms, no telephone to call down for help and no elevator (but this is good exercise!).

Best lake view in the lake city of Udaipur.
Super Amazing. The owner Mr. Satyadev ji is a gem among the jewels. He will ensure to make comfortable not only your stay at the property but also while traveling in the town. Free water, tea and whatever is required!!! This Gentleman refused to charge a penny for tea and water provided during my stay. Even after my insistence, he plainly refused. It's hard to find such a host these days. His family and assistant - Panditji will ensure you have a perfect homely stay with peace and tranquility. The property is spotlessly clean for 24 hours with so much peace that one can practice meditation and zen life. Location is a bit let off as the property is located in narrow lane which means cars would not able to drop but presence of other qualities and amenities will ensure that it remains a non-deterrent. I have saved the best for the last - The propoerty has two rooms which has lake view. Fortunately for me, I got to stay in one of the same room - the window opens to the lake with access to 24 hours fresh air at your bed.

Great value for money in Lal Ghat
Comfortable and clean hotel with great service. The architecture and design reflects traditional Rajasthani style. The location is in Lal Ghat, and literally a few steps away from the lake, including a boat ride booth. Lots of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Like many other hotels in the area, there are tables and chairs on the rooftop, providing stunning views of the lake, including the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir. Room itself was clean, with fairly comfortable beds and functional bathrooms. WiFi is available, but was slow when we stayed.

Amazing view of Lake Pichola from Rooftop!
Pandit ji was super helpful with any requests (like extra soaps, towels, chai, coffee etc.). Only downside to this location (Lal Ghat) is that only autos and bikes can operate on the narrow roads. If you are having a car, you might have to find a parking place and catch a local auto to get to this place.

Peaceful place with good food in nearby resteraunt
Though it was a short one day stay, yet there are many things to say which I observed. Finding this place can be a small play for you, but once you reach, peace is what you feel. Standard rooms may look like small matchboxes, but deluxe rooms will give you an awesome view of Lake Pichola. A television, an extension phone, clean bathroom utilities are something you will find missing. No resteraunt within the haveli, but Resteraunt Rainbow just next to it is a must go place. Awesome food, cleanest ambience and eye-smoothering view will make you heart to stay there and spend some good time. Overall its a Rating 4 place to go in comfortable budget.

Awesome hotel on lake aide
Rooms are clean, big and the view is spectacular. Also the staff is very co-operative and offers homely stay. The hotel is situated near to palace and is a great place to be.

Disappointing
Good position in a quite corner of town, lovely rooftop view of the lake but lacks character with featureless rooms. The worst part was the over attentive and intrusive staff member who seemed to be round every corner. Being charitable, he probably meant well (or at least was only trying to secure a good tip) but I would caution any single female from staying here.

Excellent stay with amazing views
Excellent location, friendly staff with clean rooms. The view from the rooftop was amazing. The only downside was that the wifi in the lobby area was down for a few hours during one of the days we stayed and the water was luke warm at certain times of the day. But besides those minor glitches, it was an excellent stay.

ho soggiornato qui 2 notti. ottima posizione, ideale per girare la città a piedi e prendersi due giorni di pausa dal traffico indiano. a 5 minuti a piedi dal city palace e dalla zona dei negozi di artigianato. non dispone di ristorante ma appena fuori dall'hotel se ne trovano di buoni. le camere sono spaziose e pulite anche se l'arredamento è essenziale e spartano. il personale dell'hotel è disponibile e gentile ma c'è un individuo che non si fa mai i fatti suoi e combina guai! ho infatti chiesto indicazioni stradali su un vicino centro massaggi ayurveda e sono stata gentilmente dirottata in un posto che vorrei dimenticare! sperduto in una stradina buia dove siamo stati accompagnati in tuc tuc. arrivati sul posto non siamo riusciti a rifiutare il massaggio. ci sono sensazioni di paura e smarrimento che non si possono spiegare. alla fine abbiamo pagato un salatissimo conto per un massaggio di 30 minuti eseguito in una stanza freddissima e squallida, con asciugamani sporchi e usati. il tutto giustificato dall'altissima qualità degli olii usati! ma il nostro autista ci aveva avvertiti che a Lal Gath (la zona dove si trova l'hotel) è meglio stare attenti e non parlare troppo con nessuno! aveva ragione! tutto questo però rientra nel biglietto per un viaggio in india! bisogna essere pronti a tutto!

Great view of lake
We arrived on wet and cold evening and were given an excellent room with a lake view. Staff brought us a heater for the room and extra blankets which was very helpful. A very friendly hotel in a great location in the heart of the old city with great view.
