Greystone Inn hits a sweet spot in a range of hotel choices. Their modest prices and "close enough" proximity to Tuscaloosa, make it an excellent place to stay. The accommodations are not luxurious but clean and comfortable. The breakfast isn't hot but offers a variety. The exercise room is small with limited equipment but sufficient for my needs. I was comfortable without having to break the bank. What really made Greystone stand out were the people. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and helpful. I especially want to give props to Venecia and Shay, the evening desk staff. They especially approachable and fun to talk to. V even remembered my name, a pleasant surprise.
If you want a swimming pool, you're out of luck. If want eggs and bacon, too bad. If you want a mint on your pillow, book the Ritz. If you want a nice, quiet place to stay with friendly staff and don't mind a 20 minute drive, this is your spot.
