Dear Peter, thank you for taking the time to review our Hotel Excelsior. We regret to hear that you were not satisfied with your stay at our property. It is true that we offer valet parking for 36 euros per day and we want to point out that this is our safest option: secure covered parking and in and out privileges from 8:00 AM till midnight. At the same time you have the possibility to park on the street on the right on the left of our entrance but of course this is not covered by our insurance. Regarding the cost for the beach, we would like to remind you that the rates vary basing on the position of our cabanas which include two loungers, chairs and a table, a changing room, towels and the comfort of having the possibility to order from our beach service without having to leave the shade of the cabana. In case our guests prefer, our loungers by the swimming pool are free of charge. Maybe you would like to try one of our beach packages next time which includes the cabanas and many other benefits. Underbart, återkommer gärna!
Skönt att bo på Lido och ha möjlighet att med hotellets fina båtarna ta sig in till Venedig .

Gammal interiör. Bla hårtork, strömbrytare och möbler. Frukosten var en sockerbomb. Middagen var under all kritik. Vi åt ute resterande kvällar trots halvpension. Vi betalade 77 euro! för en sallad och en club sandwich som även de var katastrofala. Hotellet tog betalt när vi checkade ut för båtresa in och ut från venedig så kallade "venice city tax".

Even though our hotel is certainly not a recent structure, we do our utmost to assure our guests every comfort for their holiday in Venice Lido and we would have been more than happy to find a solution that would have been more correspondant to your expecations. Unfortunately we were not aware of your disappointment during your stay. For the benefit of our readers, we want to point out that our shuttle boat from and to St. Mark's Square is completely free of charge and at our in-house guests' disposal. The Venice City Tax you found on your bill at the check-out is a tourist accommodation tax due to the city of Venice which is used by the local authorities for maintenance, use and restoration of local cultural and environmental heritage and local public services. Hotell med schysst poolhäng!
Lyxigt hotell intill strand. Dock ligger hotellet en aning off från centrum, men inte längre än cirka 10-15 minuters promenad dit. Bra service av personal, schysst pool-område, gym, restaurang. Dock dyrt med dryck! Trevliga hotellrum, men vi fick ett rum där AC väsnades på tok för mycket. Wifi fungerade bra på rummen, utanför vid pool dock dåligt. Parkerade bra och gratis på lokalgata alldeles intill hotellet. Plus: Bra frukost/lunch. Fri transport med båt till/från Venedig. Personal. Pool. Minus: Överpriser på dryck.

Fantastiskt Hotel Från Svunna Tider
Det enda vi har synpunkter på är att drycker som inte ingår är prisade över rimlighet, tex Espresso Euro 9, ett glas vin Euro 18 o absolut inte prisvärt. En grym lyx var de fantastiska båtar som gick var 30 min in t centrala Venedig, ingick i rummet o gick fr 0900-0000. Fantastiskt !

Very good place to come and visit Venice without being surrounded by all the tourists and the same time having swimming pool and the sea and have possibility to use the hotel transfer service to come to Venice.

Romantiskt hotell
Bodde fyra nätter på Excelsior i maj och var mycket nöjd med boendet, bra frukost och middag. Härligt läge vid havet och med fin pool. Praktiskt med egen båt som tar en till Markusplatsen på 15 min. Prisvärt boende när det inte är högsäsong.

Fantastiskt läge, utmärkt service, urusel middag
Väldigt mysigt och fint hotell på underbar plats med superb service och det var fina om än slitna rum. Stora rum som hölls rena dock. Vissa behövde renoveras och det var en hel del problem med låsen på dörrarna. Suveränt med egen shuttle till Markusplatsen. Gillade de gamla fina träbåtarna med skinnsoffor. Kocken på hotellet behövde dock gå en kurs. Urusel middag som var svindyr i förhållande till det man fick. Valde fisk- och skaldjursmeny som inte smakade någonting alls. Inte ens vinet var bra. Tog enormt lång tid också. Skippa matsalen och gå till kvarterskrogen rätt över gatan istället. Mycket bättre.

Vår hotellvistelse blev lyckad. Dock en besvikelse att gymmet var stängt för renovering. Frukosten var ok men absolut ej 5-stjärnig. Bra med båt-transfer till Venedig dock skulle gå oftare - gick endast varannan timme. Annars ligger hotellet fantastiskt vid havet och lugnet i området är perfekt.

Charmig hotell från början av 1900-talet. Mycket trevlig personalen och ok service. Privat strand och pool som vi inte använda (vi var där oktober). Mycket bra att vi bodde på ön Lido för att komma ifrån turistvimlet i Venedig och klar fördel med kostnadsfria skytteltrafik i hotellets privata båt. Båten kan ta er till glasfabriken som kan vara intressant. Var dock observant med räkning vid utcheckningen som kan saftas till med nota från minibar som inte stämmer med verklighet.

Excelsior för njutfull avkoppling
Mycket praktiskt att med direktbåt från hotellet hamna vid centrala Markusplatsen. Bodde därmed i ett mycket lugnt läge utanför själva Venedig men med känsla av att starta och avsluta dagen direkt i centrum. Mycket serviceinriktad personal och en utmärkt frukostbuffé som täckte in det mesta av alla tänkbara förväntningar. Vi bodde i ett standardrum utan några extra tillägg men det var väl tilltaget. Extra plus för concierge-servicen som var suverän. Litet minus för att det varken fanns strykjärn eller byxpress varken på rummet eller att tillgå för användning, alla behov av pressning hänvisades till tvätteriservicen för en inte obetydlig kostnad per plagg som dessutom kräver inlämning i förväg. Även ett litet minus för de hutlösa priserna i minibaren.

Hotell Excelcior på Lido--underbart-helt enkelt
Hotellet har en levande historia inom bl.a. den italienska filmen och en rad framstående kulturpersonligheter har bott och bor fortfarande där. Det är magnifikt beträffande läge och hotellets promotional service är excellent med tillgång till regelbundna fria och snabba båtfärder till olika delar av Venedig.

Hotel Excelsior- lugnet i Venedig
Hotel Excelsior är ett utomordentligt val för dig som vill känna mer än turistens puls i Venedig. Hotellet har privatbåtar och kör skytteltrafik mellan Lido och Markusplatsen varje timme vilket gör att man är nära centrum men ändå långt utanför (ca 15 min med båt). Dessutom blir båtresorna som extra bonus för att få en känsla av att man faktiskt utnyttjar sjöläget när man väl är där, utan att behöva betala en dyr gondol. Venedigs gator är fulla av turister och det är påtagligt hur mycket man uppskattar att kunna sätta sig i en båt som kör rätt fram till dörren av ett hotelle där man bara kan pusta ut på terassen och njuta av havsbrisen. Dessutom väldigt fräscha, rymliga rum som var otroligt välisolerade, dvs ljud från korridor och intilliggande rum hörs inte. Frukostbuffén var underbart generös och vi hann gott och väl med en lång strandpromenad innan det var dags för utcheckning och resa tillbaka till turismens Venedig. En vistelse på det här hotellet gör att du ger din resa en extra dimension! OBS!! Jag är inte köpt, bara nöjd :)

I would absolutely stay at this property again my primary complaint with that my room did not have a coffee maker espresso maker anyway for me to make my own coffee so we only had access to coffee at the breakfast downstairs when I requested an espresso machine they said my room did not qualify because I was on the third floor room 345 not expensive rooms I can’t understand why simple request for a coffee machine was refused. Also $35 for an app. Spritz is crazy so I was not ever enjoying my favorite cocktail at this lovely resort. Coffee and an apple roll are pretty much a daily enjoyment when I’m on vacation so these two things really do matter to me and will cause me to look at other locations, but I did really enjoy this facility other than these two conditions

Fabulous location excellent public spaces delicious breakfast but all the rooms old fashioned and bathrooms urgently require refit. . Bathrooms with showers have dangerously slippery shower floor surface with no side bars. This hotel could be paradise with much thought and a modest maintenance budge. Good luck!!!

Old school charm with high prices.
The old school style is nice and the staff is supernice. Sustainable this place is not, no recycling. Also the private boat taxi price is a rip off and there is no shuttle to the airport. I asked for upgrade, as a gold member I did not get it even if the hotel was half empty. Room service fee 15€, room service coke 12€. Rip off.
