Location, location, location.
We chose this property for it's location, and it did not disappoint. Like other comments said, any closer, and you'll be in the water. We pretty much stayed on the main floor and it was perfect! The kitchen, living room and main bedroom have the most incredible views. Spaceful, comfortable and inviting property. If you like cats and dogs you'll be in heaven ;) We're very grateful with the owners for sharing their second home. We had a wonderful time in it. Our only concern it's with the windows on the 2nd floor, they need to be replaced before they can cause some damage. But other than that it was a great experience.

What I loved about the property was the view and the feeling of seclusion. The house was cozy and comfortable, but the fireplace wasn’t working at the time, so that was a bit of a bummer. This house needs some repairs, but it served our needs and it was, all in all, a great stay.

Beautiful view!
The house was clean and it had a terrific view. If you want to walk on the beach you have to either drive or walk along a busy narrow hwy 101 shoulder to get to it. The propane grill is completely destroyed so if you’re planning on grilling bring charcoal for the charcoal grill. That grill didn’t appear to be in very good condition either though.

Sea Rock rocks, the surf rolls
We left a note detailing things we found wrong that were not revealed pre-arrival. Torn window blind off downstairs TV container. We didn‘t use TV – binoculars had a worn right eye piece - treads seemed stripped - it just slides off – won’t focus. Downstairs shower was not working – water wouldn’t turn on. Fireplace was broken. Nothing fatal or detracting from such a fantastic house and wonderful week. I would recommend Sea Rock to anyone, unless I was planning to book for the same time period. Bill (and Terri) Archer

Changed my life
We had the most amazing time here. So much so that all 4 children, my husband and myself have decided to move to Oregon. This home is amazing, the tide pools provided endless opportunities to explore. The waves from any window, the porch or the deck are all amazing. 3 minutes to food and coffee, but secluded and peaceful. The house is well maintained and pretty well stocked. We're already planning a return trip this summer. I highly recommend staying here. We will be back. Thank you for the best family vacation yet.

Perfect oceanfront view
10/10 for location and a true oceanfront rental. House is dated but clean and mostly comfortable. New couches in the living room. The fireplace is still broken “waiting on parts”. The beds are just as awful as some suggested. Rock hard and small. Linens were nice and clean. There is an interesting and massive collection of art covering the walls that I felt took away from the feel of a coastal vacation home. My thoughts were with all that was spent on artwork, comfortable beds would have been a better investment. You could charge more nightly with better beds and quickly recoup your money.

Spectacular Views
Live entertainment from the comfort of the living room watching the winter tides crash and flow in and out of the tidepools while seagulls drop mussels from their flight onto the rocks to crack them open to eat.

Location can’t be beat, but house wasn’t in good enough shape at that price to go back. Living room couches had holes in them, the beds and bedding weren’t comfortable, the upstairs bath didn’t drain, the windows upstairs on the ocean side wouldn’t open, paint was peeling on the outside bench and railing, and there was construction on a new house next door. Nothing was terrible, but we were disappointed paying that much for the condition of the house.

Fireplace...no
While the house was great...great location, amenities good, the pictures were misleading. The twin beds were crammed behind a screen and putting them up made everything cramped. The one requirement I had was a fireplace. They said there was a gas fireplace. It didn't work. When I called the company they said they would send maintenance over right away or they would call me. Neither happened. I called again. Same promise. Nothing. According to the guest book the fireplace has been out for months. This was so disappointing as there was special meaning in having a fireplace for that gathering. The fact that no one ever responded to me, makes me think twice about renting from here again.

The condition of the house was beyond poor! Black mold in several areas and very obvious. Fireplace broken and has been for a long time according to the comments book. No heat upstairs. Windows broken upstairs. Beds and furniture all so old and uncomfortable. Kitchen was extremely dirty along with faucet being broken. It wasn’t for the view this house would never be able to charge such prices! Extremely disappointed!

What a View
We had a wonderful stay. The house is a bit rough around the edges in spots (sofas, fireplace not working) but oh what a view! The house was well equipped, good Wi-Fi and TV service and did I mention the view? We would definitely stay there again.

Amazing location!
The rocks and tidal pools are right there, outside all of the windows and a few steps from the back deck! Incredible just watching the waves crash on the rocks. I have tinnitus and use a white-noise maker to help me sleep, but didn't need it here -- the ocean's so close it provided plenty of soothing noise with an open window.

Perfect Location!!! Beautiful views!!
You cannot beat the location of this house. Located just a few miles from downtown Yachats and a few miles from Perpetua State Park, it provides easy access to both. But the best part is that it is located directly on the beach and has breathtaking views of the ocean. Watching the waves crash on the rocks is mesmerizing! The home is very spacious and very clean. There are great views from every room. The only negative is that the living room furniture is worn, but still very comfortable. There is a trail down to the rocky shore on the very right side of the property. I would happily book this house again and hope to return someday. Just a warning, the lock on the front door is a little stubborn. You have to lift up and pull the door to you to unlock.

LOCK ON DOOR
Lock boxes, small and in dark. hard to see numbers to get in. After long day in car, needed restroom and could not get in. Need a sign saying pull door to you and twist key to the left. Other than that the place was fantastic. I know that someone is sharing the house with us, but I do think the beds could be more comfortable. Loved the street, loved the quiet, loved the view. Loved the owners story.

Impressive ocean drama to gaze at all day
Our first impression was very positive: we had garage space to put our car - very nice to have it out of the sea air; we had an incredible view of the ocean right outside the front window; the main floor bed was up-to-date and very comfortable (not saggy); there was plenty of comfortable seating to allow us to spend hours reading and enjoying the view as we like to do on vacation. Entry to the house was a bit difficult due to the fact that the key access pad is old and difficult to work with. It took many attempts to force the buttons to work giving access to the key. Tiny issues that could be improved include the key holder; the silverware, which was on the sparse side and on the cheap side, could be upgraded a bit to make you not worry about bending anything in normal use. A medium issue that the property managment firm should take into consideration is when someone rents the place for 7 nights, more than 2 dishwasher cleaning pods should be provided/allowed! We were told when we asked for more that no more would be provided because they only provide a starter amount. Who brings dishwasher pods with them on vacation???? How would the renter know what kind was allowed - pod vs. granular vs. liquid??? When questioned about this "oversight," the property mgmt firm should willingly allow more to be delivered instead of telling the renter that 2 is all they provide. They did relent eventually, but after pushback. Lastly, the gas fire stove didn't work. We tried to follow the instructions and after multiple failed attempts called the property management who proceeded to repeat the instructions we already knew didn't work. Fortunately, the property mgmt firm's handyman was nearby who determined that the system was broken. Upon arrival, he graciously supplied enough dishwasher pods to get us through the week. Of course, most people won't have to deal with a broken fire stove and it wasn't really necessary because the house heating system is very adequate. The stove was more for ambiance. Not a big deal. I'm sure that by the next few weeks, the stove was fixed. It seems nobody had reported it broken - probably just figured that they weren't following the instructions correctly. :) We would return to this lovely house. I just mention the above items for the consideration of the owners (key box/silverware) to upgrade and to report on how the policies of the property mgmt didn't jive with the needs.

Ocean getaway
The house faces the ocean with beautiful views of rocks and tide pools. The interior was just as shown on the VRBO site, comfortable beds, very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. We did have trouble with the lockbox which was frustrating after a long drive to get to the property. Owners might consider changing to digital door handles in the future. The entry yard is unkempt and no use to a renter. Ocean-facing side of the house could use a small table and chairs.

Can't deny the view!!!
Loved the house!!!! When we walked in, the house was very clean. And then, you are greeted by the view through the living room window!! There was plenty of space for my family. Also, instructions were left throughout the house so you knew things like how to turn on the television, checking out, etc. The only challenges were that the garbage disposal did not work and the bed for the seventh person had missing springs. My son ended up using the mattress on the floor. But please, do not let that stop you from going to this house! I am not complaining about the challenges but just making sure that you are aware. My family and I would stay at this house again in a heartbeat. Thank you for such a great experience.

Fantastic View
We loved our stay here. The ocean is literally in your backyard and the rocks create incredible sights when the ocean crashes over them. It's a short drive to a sandy beach but the Oregon Coast Trail will take you along the coastline for miles with more wonderful views. Also the house is comfortably furnished and well stocked. We will definitely stay here again.

We wanted to be right on the ocean and this place could not get much closer. Clean & spacious place for 2 couples. It had everything we needed. When you first drive-up it lacks a little curb appeal from the back but the front view is exceptional.

Short mid week stay
Property was as described. Older home sitting literally right on top of the rocks below. Gorgeous location. Home was meticulously clean. Spectacular views. We enjoyed just sitting in our lawn chairs with the house behind us and the ocean below us, reading, napping and enjoying the sound of the surf. Only complaint which prevented a 5 star rating was the bed was hard as a rock and neither my wife or I got a comfortable nights sleep. Might just be personal preferences and nothing else. Really enjoyed our stay though.

Serenity at Sea Rock
We enjoyed 4 nights with the widows wide open to enjoy hearing the surf and watched grey whales feed nearby when the tide was low. Fantastic tide pols at Neptune can be accessed with a beach walk - easier access than Cape Perpetua. I'd book again!

Beautiful Location
This lovely home is located right on the coast with wonderful 180 degree views. It is well appointed with all equipment you might need. It is extremely quiet and restful. It makes for a lovely stay in Yachats!

Loved our stay in Yachats -- great little town, everyone we met was super friendly. The house was nice with plenty of space for our family. The view of waves crashing on the rocks was amazing. Lots of other options for beaches just down the road. Would stay here again!

Absolutely love the location and access to the tide pools! Three stars because there was dog hair all over. One of the couches clearly is a sitting area for dogs and hadn’t been vacuumed. We would definitely stay again but double check with management about the cleanliness before arrival.

Relaxing and charming place
We came from Seattle and met up with family from Sacramento and also hauled our trailer and quads. The house was only about 20 minutes away from Florence dunes and we loved the garage so we could park our toys while we explored....and it was so fun exploring the tide pools and even sitting on the deck watching the whales play and the waves crash against the rocks. There wasn't too much to do in Yachats, but if you're there to get some rest and relaxation, this is the place for you. All the kitchen items, bedding, linens, etc was easily available throughout the house and there weren't too many rules or restrictions. We also loved how all seven of us were comfortable in the home. This was our first Vacasa rental rental and it was very easy with no issues to reserve. We hope to be back again soon :-)

great location and very nice neighborhood
this house has a wonderful view and is in a convenient, quiet neighborhood. the reason i didnt give it 5 stars is that the owner/management agency had an exterminator come during our stay. we felt that we should have been told ahead of time, so we could plan not to be there, i understand maintenance has to be done. however the rental management could not telll us what chemicals were used, which would have been nice to know. house was in generally good condition. the stovetop range was difficult to use but manageable.

Very pleased with this rental! Neighbors very friendly. I am a total germaphobe and this was by far the cleanest house we have ever rented! Very quiet and views were awesome, nothing to block view. Saw lots of sea lions, some seals and a few whales from window. Really nice, would definitely rent again esp. for the price! Other nice sand beaches very close.

House was right on the coast... fantastic views and areas to explore
The property is very quaint. We had plenty of room for 5 vacationing women. Home was well stocked with cooking utensils. The town of Yachats was conveniently located for seeing coastal attractions. We had great fun exploring the tide pools on the backside of the house. I would highly recommend this home to other vacationers.

Beautiful surroundings and perfect location
This home was perfect for our family of 5 and my parents who came on the trip as well. It is located just a few minutes north of Cape Perpetua, there are numerous hiking trails and breathtaking views (not to mention the breathtaking views from the house itself). We spent three evenings tide pooling at Bob Creek wayside (again just a few minutes south of the house) and saw lots of sea anemones, hermit crab, chiton, and even a few star fish. On our last day, we saw two gray whales about 40 yards out in the ocean from the living room window, feeding and breaching. Newport is also about a half hour drive north, and there is a lot to do there as well (aquarium, bay front, boat tours, etc). We had a wonderful week at Sea Rock.

Read the fine print
This is a lovely property and a wonderful location. We have stayed here many times and loved it. Not sure if the property management has changed but there were some frustrating details. First the fireplace didn't work and 3 visits later it still didn't work because IT WAS OUT OF PROPANE! A simple fix and would have made it so nice to have the ambience of a fire. Second we used to get a lovely gift basket. Not this time. The basket was there with the note to enjoy the offerings but it was empty. If they didn't plan on offering it at least remove the note. Third in writing on the fridge is a note stating that your cleaning deposit is dependent on how clean the house is left. We left it as clean, if not cleaner, than when we arrived, started the laundry and did the dishes but when I asked when we could expect our deposit I was informed that it is a cleaning fee and not refundable. After inquiring about the deposit I was told it is not refundable. They have not responded to any further inquiries. Non of these would make me not go back but, they were annoyances that took away from our overall stay. The deposit was the worst. If they don't give you any of the cleaning fee back they should take the sign down so we don't spend extra time cleaning. Overall we ended up paying at least another night's cost in taxes and NON-refundable deposits. Just wish we had known Again, love the location, love the house but found the management lacking.
