Unfortunately, there were mice/ rats scratching noisily, waking us in the early hours of the morning and continued till we left. Disappointing, as it was a lovely unit and welcome.

The property is centrally located. The front access needs repairs there is a loose power box that needs fixing up on the driveway. There is a spa in the main part of the room that also has the only shower over it. Getting in and out can be dangerous as it is very high without steps in. access is difficult for older patrons.

Little oasis Gem
Kerry the owner contacted us straight away the day of travel, when we arrived was beautiful and clean, what a little oasis in the middle of York, right in the middle of Town just behind the Town Hall, we could walk and enjoy York. We went to the Imperial hotel for a bit to eat great service and great food. We will be staying in the Nosh and Nod again.

Liked: 1 Full kitchen 2 Good size for a family of 4 3 Location was excellent 4Good shower and Laundry facilities 5 comfortable and clean beds Not so good. 1 The air conditioner was broken. My husband is a refrigeration mechanic so he knew there was something wrong as soon as he put it on. Management was informed that it was broken but we got no response. Thankfully the weather was abit cooler so we could sleep with the Windows open. 2 the fridge part of the refrigerator was not cold. Again my husband whose a refrigeration mechanic said there was also something wrong with it. 3 the shower itself was good but hot water cut in and out. 4 the bunk beds were very sqeeky so when the kids moved in the night they were quite noisy

room was small but nice big enough for 2 bed was comfy,enjoyed the spa & shower was very good. Kerry the owner was friendly and let us check in 3 hours early. only thing the walls could be thick we could hear was the neighbours were doing definitely value for money

隔音效果其差無比
此為無櫃台的飯店！需事先聯繫，我們到達後以電話聯絡屋主，再經由屋主的指引找到住宿房間。只是在路旁的指示牌指引方向錯誤，害我們跟屋主一直在雞同鴨講，最後才發現原來在牆的另一端。最大的問題則是：隔音效果其差無比。隔壁房開水龍頭　看電視　對話　全都聽得清清楚楚的，對於不易入眠的人會是一大問題。

Our next stay at The Nosh & Nod - Avon Terrace we would prefer to stay in a non spa room. We found it a little difficult getting into and out of spa.

Lovely room set back from the main road,clean, quiet, walking distance to restaurants and nearby hotels. A phone call confirmed the key was available when we arrived, Given a helpful suggestion for dinner on check in and pleasantly surprised as there is live entertainment at Settlers House every weekend .

A good stay in a quaint town
This was our second stay at Nosh & Nod and we must say we will consider it again. My mother and I were spending the night in York for an event the next day. Even though we arrived after 7pm access was easily prearranged by contacting the business. The rooms are tidy, cosy and spacious. The kitchen facilities were good and we had a very peaceful stay.

Basic room in York
We stayed in one of four units. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. The only problem was a leak in the shower hose that squirted over the glass shower petition and onto all the toiletries. Very casual and simple check in/out. The hotel was in a quiet location in York but in easy walking distance to cafes, hotels and shops.

nice place in the middle of york
We had a nice time in York the room was enough off the main road so we did not hear any traffic. Was very cosy, and very relaxing place. Was within easy walking place to everything. Would recommend it to anybody.

A nice stay
Initially there was a mix up with the booking details and issues with sorting things out over the phone but everything was worked out in the end. When we met the owner in person we were treated wonderfully with apologies for the mix up, given a late checkout for the trouble, the owner definitely wanted to ensure we felt welcomed and enjoyed our stay, was really appreciated

Nice room with an extra
Rapid self check in by phone after arrival. The rooms have a nice patio with chairs and small tables to sit in front of room. Our room had a nice large bathtub with whirlpool function. York is a lovely place for a family outing.
