“As others have said, it's not a five-star resort. We had misgivings when we arrived. But, we ended up liking the house better than a hotel. My friend and I stayed in the smaller two bedroom house. “The view from this property is amazing. The distance to town was not bad. The food in the town of Montezuma was wonderful too. Peter was a great host and we had all that we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed the covered patio watching the sun rise in the AM. And we took full advantage of the pool during the heat of the day. We will be back to visit for sure!!!”

“On the property lives 2 roosters which are very loud (and beautifull). And you have to feed them otherwise they will scream non stop. They start to beg for food around 4 am. Plus there is no hot water in sinks which makes living very uncomfortable (no dishwasher as well). If you want to have a nice shower - forget about it! The property really is carved out of the jungle and the gardens surrounding the cottage are absolutely beautiful. It was very clear to us that there was considerable thought in both designing and maintaining the gardens. “We loved this house. It has a gorgeous view. We had access to a washer. There is a clothes line outside to dry the clothes. The clothes dried quickly as long as it didn’t rain. The air conditioning worked great upstairs. Like most Costa Rica rentals the air conditioning is just in the bedroom. Playa Conchal is our favorite beach. Not enough room to sleep 3 people comfortably, but perfect for a couple.”

The property is wonderful, we hiked it almost everyday following the many trails and finding plateaus with amazing views of Lake Arenal. “We loved our stay!! Beach is 5 minutes away and this is up on a mountain so you have amazing views. Sunsets and ocean view were so gorgeous that my partner proposed right on our balcony!!!
