“A lovely welcome by the owners who run a most delightful and comfortable guest house. One that I would certainly wish to stay at again whenever next in Devon.”

“I stay away 3/4 times a month with work and had I not been dining with suppliers locally would probably have missed this gem. They moved breakfast forward 20 minutes to allow for an early departure for me and what a breakfast! The fresh fruit, eggs benedict and the banana/strawberry smoothie were all 10/10 whilst I had a superb view over the harbour. The fresh milk and drinks in the room was also great, along with the shortbread biscuits. But the highlight for me was the bed. I intended to watch...

“Was a very relaxing stay. Gary & Phillip were great hosts, room was spotless and breakfast brilliant. Room was large and comfortable and the bar area was relaxing. Seating outside great with a view looking out to the sea. ”

The room was very clean and well presented. Bathroom had big shower and again very well presented with complimentary body wash and shampoo. Breakfast was very nice, service quick and friendly. Maybe an option of veggie breakfast would be only minor thing to add but was very well looked after with options. ”

Our room was beautifully decorated with the loveliest home made cake on arrival. The building was spotless and well presented throughout. “A very welcoming place and Debbie went out of her way to help me check-in early. The room was extremely clean and comfortable and it was in a really convenient location. The bed was very comfortable and the homemade cakes just topped everything off!! Would highly recommend and when we next travel to Torquay to visit family, we will definitely be staying again. “Hotel was well situated in the heart of the village, easy to locate with plenty of onsite parking. Next door to a great pub with good food. Room was very clean and tidy with a sea view. Breakfast was really good. Very friendly place, would definitely stay again if in the area. ”

“De hade kylskåp på boendet, det var jättebra. Det var ett lugnt och tyst område. Gick bra att gå till järnvägsstationen på ca 10 minuter, det tog ungefär samma tid att gå ner till havet. Värden var hjälpsam och vänlig och det var en riktigt bra engelsk frukost.”

“Arran Lodge is a beautiful. Our room was spacious with quality furniture. There was a mini fridge with real milk and bottled water. A bottle of tap water is left with the kettle alongside a selection of teas, coffee and hot chocolate plus a lovely addition of a cupcake for each guest. The bed was comfortable and strong (the latter being a concern of mine as I'm very heavy). The bathroom was spotless with the addition of a little box full of thoughtful supplies should you have forgotten anything...

“The room was clean and spacious, close to everything, and when I arrived, Dev took my very heavy suitcase up two flights of stairs to my room. I would stay here again for sure.”

“Sonachon house is now under new owners Leanne and Aaron. They were really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent with full English, cereals, toast, and yoghurt on offer. They also provide some towels for the beach as well as free loan of bucket and spades.There is a spacious communal lounge which was really nice to relax in over a cup of coffee. Rooms were clean and nice ensuite shower room. Aaron tells me that he is planning to offer fishing trips next year for guests. A most enjoyable...

“Vi hyrde en lägenhet med två sovrum. Stort vardagsrum, litet kök och två toaletter. I köket fanns allt man behövde för matlagning. Bra möblerade rum och rent överallt. Vi åt på uteserveringen som hade utmärkt mat. Det fanns både inom- och utomhuspool, gym och tennisbana. Badstrand ca 200m från hotellet. Hotellet låg ca 1,2 km från stadskärnan, vilket gav en fin promenad. Trevlig och tillmötesgående personal. Perfekt för familj eller par. Gångavstånd till Kents Cavern, ett grottsystem med guidade...

“Overall we enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that took the edge off a perfect break. The shower in the en-suite bedroom leaked through the kitchen ceiling so we couldn’t use it which meant that nine of us had to use the one other shower! The French door/window in the lounge was difficult to open & close and the rain came in at the bottom right side and the carpet got wet and we couldn’t open the bi fold doors in the dining area. The cutlery wasn’t very clean so we had to wash it all...
