“Good location. Room was small but perfectly adequate and with nice bathroom. Lake view was not great - large flat room in front of us. Nice gardens on the edge of the lake. The Waterhead Inn next door had a great team working there, more friendly. We ate there and that was very good. Easy to walk into Ambleside, no need to drive which is a huge bonus. Lovely countryside and walks.”

"Great hotel with the sweetest staff! They assisted with everything and was so nice! Great hotel for dogs as well. The trays outside of the rooms for muddy boots was the cherry on top! Like most old buildings in th UK it gets a bit damp but the room was nice and clean "
