Fantastic stay at le Meridien in KK
We are extremely happy with our two stays at le Meridien (with a Turtle Island and Sepiloc trip in between)! Fantastic service, location next door to the fish market and restaurants, sun set sea views from our room, well equipped gym, kids pool and soothing pool, but not least the excellent breakfast to start the day We had the sane waiter each day and he spoilt us without being too much. The Illy coffee was the best we had over our two weeks in Borneo and don’t miss out on the banana smoothie. WiFi worked well throughout the hotel. We extended our last stay two times before having to leave for KL. We can definitely recommend the hotel and hope to come back again!

Fantastisk consierge. Onödigt med småaktiga kostnadstillägg för wifi på rummet t ex. Dyr poolside bar men härlig frukost. Det lilla extra!

City hotell med väldigt bra service
Väldigt bra hotell med bra service, Väldigt nöjd med allt speciellt bra utbud på buffé frukosten. Personalen på hotellet försökte alltid komma med en bra lösning och hjälpte gärna till. Om man måste säga något negativt så var det fisk lukten vid swimmingpoolen men detta var endast för att den fantastiska fisk marknaden låg precis utanför hotellet.

Hotellet ligger jätte bra till, gångavstånd till det mesta. Exceptionell service, trevlig personal. Enda nackdelen är extremt lyhörda rum.

Slitet men trevligt
Utmärkt läge! Gångavstånd till det mesta. Trevlig och hjälpsam personal som fixade allt vi bad om. Gratis WiFi i lobbyn men tyvärr inte på rummen. Gratis internet på rummet via kabel om man har dator med. Lobby och gym i fint skick men rummet och korridorerna var slitna. Kantstötta möbler, garderobsdörrarna kärvade, en av knopparna på lådorna var lös och låg på golvet osv. Sägen var också i behov av scervice, den vinglade och knarrade. Inga stora brister egentligen men det drar helt klart ner helhetsbetyget och vi hade förväntat oss lite mer av ett så pass "fint" hotell. När vi återvänder till KotaKinabalu kan vi tänka oss att checka in igen men då kommer vi nog leta runt lite mer först och göra en ordentlig prisanalys.

Jättetrevlig personal! Hela hotellet var i topp skick, superfina rum. Läget var bra nära till shopping och restauranger. Är riktigt nöjd med hela resan kan verkligen rekommenderas!

Great hotel overlooking the sea. The room we booked was huge, breakfast was good, the club room facilities were excellent which include almost everything. Staff were top notch also. Will definitely going back there again when visiting KK.

Great central location for walking out to the night markets, bars, restaurants, cafes, shops. Short walk or a quick Grab (taxi) to the ferry terminal where you catch the boats to go island hopping. Club room, king bed, sea view was a great size with good water pressure in the shower, good quality complimentary toiletries and reliable WiFi. There were lovely sunset views from the club lounge which served complimentary alcoholic drinks, soft drinks and food from 5:30 - 7:30pm each day. I would definitely say that the reasonable extra cost of a club room is worth it. The staff at the club lounge, reception and main breakfast restaurant were all so friendly and helpful. The pool had sufficient loungers and was nice and relaxing. In summary, I would certainly recommend a stay at Le Meridien if you’re looking to be central in KK.

Unexpected
To be completely honest, I struggled for a long time thinking about reviewing this. However I finally thought it’s best to write one up since it is supposedly 5 star and I want their leadership to note. I’m just being honest and upfront but most importantly don’t want this to reflect on the people working there. Saying so, the people working there are absolutely fab. Made my partner and me feel absolutely at home. They also stretched and strived to accomodate us to the best of their ability given the following challenges. We stayed here for 3 nights. We had 3 room changes in 4 days. 6th floor to 10 then 12. The hotel is super old and dilapidated. I did hear locals mention it was renovated recently but sadly I don’t see any evidence of it. First room was mouldy, second room has a water leak from the light fitting , directly above the toilet. Things need to be fixed around here. Please do as I love to come back to stay. But all in all , the staff came to the rescue everytime. Despite my frustrations in having to pack and repack and move rooms almost every night , I just want to say thank you to Ricky and the staff of Le Meridien KK.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Le meridian Hotel The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and I was pleasantly surprised to find that my room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and immaculately clean. The comfortable bed and luxurious linens ensured a restful night's sleep, and the blackout curtains were a nice touch for those who prefer a dark room. I also appreciated the complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, which made it easy for me. But one feedback that the room window screen having a lot of dust( I’m staying the ocean view room ) The bath room heater tap having unstable flow of hot water The location of the hotel was ideal, with easy access to popular attractions and transportation options. Whether I wanted to explore the city or simply relax in the hotel, everything was conveniently within reach. Overall, I’m happy stay at the Le meridian Hotel.
