“From the moment we arrived at the property and identified ourselves as the family staying at Elmo's rest, we were treated like part of the family. We arrived at the house to find everything clean and ready even though we were a couple hours early. The house is a century old so floors creak and some doors stick a bit. “Property is close to Lynchburg bit lets you enjoy the country setting. It is a great place to unwind and hang by the firepit. Everything you need is there and the host was available when needed. We had no reason to contact the host as the property was exactly as described. We will rent again!”

“Entire family enjoyed the stay at Second Creek Farm. Cozy accommodations offering comfort, peacefulness, connection with nature, and welcoming owners. The property is lovely and access to hiking, crabtree falls, wintergreen, and other nearby locations is fantastic. If you are searching for a place to unwind this is it. The pond, livestock, firepit, wood burning fireplace, historical charm of the house / property, and well stocked home were all very much appreciated. We will be back.”

I normally visit The Homestead area of Bath Co and knew that this property would be well maintained because of the management connection. I was not disappointed! “Stayed for a weekend while visiting friends in Lexington. The host, Charles, was incredibly nice and helpful, and the Schoolhouse is cute with an interesting history. Convenient to Lexington and 1 mile away from Lexington Valley Winery. Schoolhouse was clean, spacious, private, with huge yard and river running next to it.”
