“We have one transit night in Colombo and choose this suit apparyment for family stay. The appartment was very neat and clean as well as secure with all facilities including stat of the art swimming pool. The owner Mr. Don was very helpful and supportive and assist us in all manners. The only drawback is you probably unable to go outside without necessary security access that can be granted during morning time.”

“The information about this hotel was extremely misleading. First of it says has an outdoor pool....there is NO pool!!!! Secondly it advertises FREE airport transfer.....that is also not true. Let me say the family who run the place were lovely & extremely helpful BUT you cannot advertise a pool and free transfer & not provide these things. I think Hotels.com should look at this. Also the hotel is really in the middle of nowhere. They also said Wifi but none was available ”

“AWESOME stay - so great we decided to stay an extra night. Kasun is amazing and put us in touch with people that helped us plan our 3 week stay in Sri Lnaka. Extremely spacious apartment for a low price. Even included a washer inside the apartment which was really nice to do laundry. Close to the airport and not a far walk from restaurants. Nice park neaby with volleyball courts, track and more sports with locals nearby. Will definitely stay again before departing from Sri Lanka! ”

“Nice spacious rooms with comfortable beds. The housekeeping and service staff was really nice and helpful, but on the negative side the receptionists weren't really that nice. Some of the food we ordered was really old and shouldn't have been served to customers. Upon arrival our appartment was empty in terms of kitchen facilities, and we had to ask the housekeepers to send us kitchen equipment/ironboxes etc. It was also impossible to charge anything to the room, so even if you just wanted...

“The apartment was located in a really good spot, easy to get around. There was lots of room and the beds were really comfortable. Access to a beautiful pool (great place to watch the sunset) and the restaurant prices were reasonable. Security was excellent and it was a great place to come in from the heat and hustle and bustle of Colombo. The owner responded to our enquiries and checked in with us a couple of times. A few suggestions: please provide soap for each bathroom and at least one hair...

“Very happy to find this place. It was clean, spaceous, very quiet, and welcoming. It was also nicely located for shopping, dining, and the beach. They had a little trouble with English. We had ordered a shuttle to pick up our daughter at the airport at 3am and it never showed. That caused a little tension, but luckily it all worked out. Other than that, the guys were very helpful and we had a good time (though Colombo is far from our favorite place in Sri Lanka). I would recommend the place.”

“The ownerbpaid for a Tuk Tuk & we were taken to a different building where the room we were given doubled as an office for the Thai massage business above us. Although there was double glazing preventing us from being disturbed by the main road, but building works started at 7am & went on until 7pm & a karaoke club started at 10pm Ouroom felt unsecured & our adapter went missing.”

“Stayed at this great place with my wife and two daughters. Villa Shade has excellent service and is in an amazing calm area close to Negombo city. Walk, run or borrow bicycles to get to town or Negombo beach. Or simply stay in the clean pool within the premises, play basket or badminton. ”
