“There was a mix up with rental being double booked. Instead of cabin we reserved 15 months earlier, we were housed in a house apparently used as part of venue operations. It certainly was not what we expected but we made the best of it! It was clean and bed was comfortable so we chose to overlook the minor hiccups. Most importantly it was a great eclipse viewing site and the actual eclipse experience was extraordinary! All staff members were very kind and welcoming.”

“This was my second stay at Beaver Run and it was just as amazing as the first. The air just hits differently here. Morning coffee on the porch in a rocker watching the sunrise and seeing the forest awaken is my favorite part. It was cool enough this time to enjoy the hot tub in the evening (I’m not a big hot tub person but it was clean and wonderful!). I plan on coming again (and again and again and again!) to recharge my soul. Thank you for sharing your home!”

“Duck Cove Marina was a great place to stay and enjoy Lake Tawakoni. The cabin we stayed in was absolutely perfect! Clean, all the amenities, and the perfect size for our stay. Everyone at the marina including other guests were all very nice and accommodating. And all the actual ducks everywhere were a very fun surprise and joy to watch. Thank you for a great weekend. Great places like these are hard to find and when we do find them it seems harder and harder to find open dates. You will absolutely love this property but be aware of the washer and dryer situation. There is one cabin with Washer and Dryer and is available on the property of several cabins. It was not a problem for us, but just be aware. The owners love these cabins and are...

“We had the best time! It was the cutest place and so relaxing! Being right down the road from the state park was great.”

“We enjoyed the weekend at the house very much. We had a boat so we were able to launch at a public boat ramp and spend part of Saturday on the lake. The house is secluded and private - care taker was a available and helpful by text message. Lots of inside and outside spaces for friends to gather and there’s a nice big kitchen for family meals. We would stay again since it’s also close to DFW.”

“Loved this place! We stayed 2 nights for the solar eclipse and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I was surprised that more than half the guests were from out of state! We even had a pretty large thunderstorm blow in on our last night and the Tipi’s were unphased by the rain/high wind. The owners stay close to the site and are the definition of Texas hospitality!
