2/10 Väldigt dåligt

I booked a stay at WoodSpring Suites at 6801 K Avenue from February 7th–9th. I wasn’t expecting luxury — just a clean, safe room with working AC. Unfortunately, the hotel couldn’t even meet those basic expectations.
On February 8th, I left briefly to buy items to celebrate the Super Bowl and a birthday. When I returned, every single one of my belongings was gone. Nothing was left in the room.
I immediately contacted the police and the front desk. I later learned the hotel system had mistakenly marked my room as vacant, and housekeeping threw away all of my possessions.
The general manager admitted this was their error, yet I was told it could take weeks — if not longer — to resolve. I’ve only been refunded for the room, but the value of my lost items exceeds $800, which is nowhere near justified compensation.
This ruined what was supposed to be a special day, and I’ve never experienced anything like this in all my years of staying in hotels.
I am writing this in hopes management will correct this issue and fully compensate me. While they’ve acknowledged fault, I’m sharing this to seek accountability and warn others. No guest should ever have their belongings discarded due to a hotel’s mistake.
I strongly advise avoiding this location. If choosing WoodSpring Suites, the McKinney location offers far better service and experience.
