B&B i Lexington

“This B&B was a great alternative to the Homestead resort itself. It was close enough to easily walk to the resort within a few minutes, very reasonable in cost, and the proprietors are wonderful people. They were very welcoming, attentive to all of our needs and wants, offered satisfying breakfasts and were a pleasure to get to know. Thanks, Tammy and Dave!”

Very easy walk to downtown Lexington which has numerous shops and dining options, plus the history of two great collegiate institutions and the legendary Stonewall Jackson. “It's not really the owner's fault at all but the place is built on a rather treacherous bit of mountainside in the Shenandoah. The website doesn't really give much warning about this and there isn't any sort of guardrails. There is a hell of a 'pucker factor' getting to and from the location as it's just one lane. But once you get there- My GOSH! So beautiful-- so inviting.. and so, so so sooo cozy! Makes it all worthwhile!! As I said before, unless a millionaire wants to donate $$$$$$...

“This bed and breakfast is run by a lovely young couple who were a delight to talk to. I had numerous questions before we arrived and they were answered promptly. The rooms were clean and charming. The history of the building is fascinating and there was a lot of literature on hand about the area. The breakfast was delicious, a recipe from the owner's grandmother who was also the previous owner. Stay here, you will not be disappointed!”

“The rooms at this place are all very different so it would pay to look first and see which one you are getting bc there are some REALLY cluttered ones (as were ours) and then some others that were super streamlined and nicer! In addition, it was interesting that for a place from which many are traveling, breakfast was not available until 9 am! Although the innkeeper did accomadate us by providing to go breakfasts, I just thought it was a little odd! ”

“People were absolutely awesome at the Good Place B&B. I felt so welcomed during my entire stay, from checking in to check in out and every breakfast in between, which were great and delicious by the way. A great place to spend a few days away in nature, but a close drive to many historic locations and natural attractions in the area. The rooms amenities could use some improvement (new towels and linen come to mind). Other than that, I would definitely stay here again. ”

“Stayed for a weekend while visiting friends in Lexington. The host, Charles, was incredibly nice and helpful, and the Schoolhouse is cute with an interesting history. Convenient to Lexington and 1 mile away from Lexington Valley Winery. Schoolhouse was clean, spacious, private, with huge yard and river running next to it.”
